This spacious and secluded mountain home retreat is just across the Tennessee / North Carolina
border. Porches, balconies and decks abound provide spectacular views. Two creeks along each side of
the 6.5 acre property serenade you as you enjoy the peace and tranquility the area has to offer.
A great getaway for the entire family. Located only one mile away, the Appalacian Trail is close
enough to start your hiking adventure from the front door. Roan Mountain State Park is also easily
accessible via Hughes Gap Road, about four miles.
Due to the proximitity of the Pisgah National Forrest and Roan Mountain State Park near by, there is
an abundance of wildlife. You will frequently spot deer, wild turkey, rabbits, bears, etc... There
has even been a cayote spotted roaming on the property. It is also a paradise for the bird watching
enthusiast.
Bakersville is not only known for its annual North Carolina Rhododedron Festival, but also for its
artisans. If visiting any of the area potters and/or The Penland School of Crafts, make sure to take
home a souvenier of the famously known North Carolina pottery.
The area and its nearby vacinities offer a variety of activities throughout the entire year. During
your stay visit places like Roan National Park, Greater Foscoe Mining Co., National Park Mineral
