Playa Grande (Big Beach)
Welcome to the Playa Grande Surf Hotel, located near the pristine beach of Playa Grande (big beach),
one of the most beautiful beaches on the Guanacaste coast of Costa Rica. The three mile long beach
remains nearly untouched, as it is part of Baulas National Park, created for the preservation of the
Leatherback Turtle. The white sand beach boasts one of the most consistent surf breaks in Costa Rica
and is known for incredible barrels. The nearly private beach is also a terrific place to unwind,
explore the beach and tide pools and observe truly world class sunsets.
Playa Grande Surf Hotel
The hotel is a new (open 4 months) boutique style hotel with a courtyard structure completely shaded
by a huge tree, enclosed to ensure privacy, with a pool for hotel guests. We serve food poolside (as
well as indoors) which creates an open peaceful ambience. We also rent bicycles for hotel guests.
The suite consists of two bedrooms, each with a queen size bed, large screen HDTV with cable
programming, A/C, ceiling fans, wi-fi and a large tiled bathroom. It also has a living room area
with a sofa, table and chairs (4) and a complete kitchen featuring a tile countertop with a built in
double stainless steel sink, microwave, refrigerator, 4 burner stove with oven, and built in
cabinets.
The bedding is a high quality mattress with all cotton sheets, pillow cases and comforter.
We also have individual units consisting of a bedroom with a queen size bed and a twin bed, a large
HDTV with cable programming, refrigerator, A/C, ceiling fan, wi-fi and tiled bathroom.

The restaurant is in the hotel and features the best sushi and continental cuisine, serving

Activities and Attractions
We are pleased to arrange zip line canopy tours, snorkeling, scuba diving, deep sea fishing,
horseback riding, and hikes in the cloud forests to view active volcanoes and a variety of wildlife.
Or, just relax by the pool and enjoy the complete menu, including the delights of our very own sushi
chef, at our restaurant. Ride the hotel's bicycles on the beach or around the area.
