vacation rental description

Fishing Point B&B is located in St.Anthony, an extremely progressive picturesque community of
approximately 2500-3000 people, nestled around a well protected pristine harbour at the top of the
rock(a name that people from outside and within the province sometimes refer to our wonderful
province), the extreme tip of The Great Northern Peninsula, within the scenic Western Region of
Newfoundland. St. Anthony is now world renowned for the awe inspiring legacy of Dr. Wilfred
Grenfell.

This delightful B&B of eleven years is already well known for its very unique and private tranquil
setting next to the water's edge and harbour entrance (million dollar view), warm and generous
hospitality, high quality service and a great seafarer's breakfast. This original fisherman's
dwelling with quaint fishing stage is like a scene from the past and within the boundaries of scenic
Fishing Point, an exciting place to spend peaceful and memorable time due to the stark contrast it
portrays between harshness and tranquility; thus the name Fishing Point B&B. It has been restored
such that you can enjoy its coziness and savour the view of the harbour with its whales, icebergs
and various types of fishing and other larger ocean going boats. Many of our guests have already
experienced the pleasant surprise of seeing a minke or humpback surface right in front of their eyes
while they tantallize their tastebuds with our tasty seafarer's breakfast. Some have even had the
pleasure of viewing icebergs from the dining area also, not to mention other sea mammals and birds.
Tastefully and meticulously decorated this seventy year old gem, with its amazingly awestriking,
tranquil water's edge location and fully equipped amenities, allows you to prepare your own meals,
associate with the local folk, explore the beach, enjoy an evening fire and/or barbeque, watch
sunrises/sets, fall asleep to the lapping of water on the beach or just relax on its spacious decks
to the smell of clean salty air and picturesque surroundings.
