vacation rental description
Location, location, location. This house is within close to a multitude of amenities at the Lake. Located on the North Shore of Lake Tahoe, Northstar is 4 miles away, with Squaw Valley, Alpine Meadows and Mount Rose within 20 minutes away to the house.
In the summertime, head to one of the best beaches on the Lake. Kings Beach is 2.5 miles away and is a state park with long white sandy beaches. Here you can rent a kayak, jet ski, and other water toys, or just relax on the shoreline with a good book. Some of the best lakeside restaurants and golf courses are here, along with shops offering local artist fares. Nightlife? yes.. Crystal Bay is 4 miles away and offers gambling, nighttime shows, and Tahoe nostalgia of the Frank Sinatra days at Cal Neva.
This chalet style home with loft is great for large families or groups of friends. It has an open floor plan with 22ft ceilings with large windows looking out to the forest. Located in a quiet pocket of homes surrounded by forest land, you'll see more people out walking than cars driving by. All the roads dead end at trail heads that the forestry service maintains which allows unlimited hiking and biking in the summertime. In the wintertime, the front yard becomes a nice sledding hill for the kids. In the summertime, the kids will love playing in the meadow, and the hiking the trails
As you walk in front door, you are greeted by a large open living area called the "Great Room". In Tahoe we think cooking is a main hobby, so houses are built with open areas that comprise of the living, kitchen and dining room. You can cook and socialize at the same time.Your family or group will enjoy the spacious living area with sectional, scattered ottomans, and a wood burning stove with brick hearth. This faces a large TV with satellite reception that allows access to all the premium TV channels and 30 stations of continuous music. The dining area has a 12 top timber trestle table with benches and is perfect for entertaining at. The kitchen, surrounded by countertops, and barstools, overlooks the dining and living area, and is large enough to accommodate a number of chefs. The kitchen has another table in it with barstools, and ample cupboard space with all the amenities you may want or need during your stay. Off the dining area is a sliding glass door that exits out to a sunny wrap-around deck. The deck has just been remodeled with expansions and wrap around seating. Its great in both winter and summer. The deck and house sits low off the street, so you have privacy with a nice yard, and a meadow behind the house. Patio furniture and barbecues make the summertime outdoor activities worth looking forward to. Off the side yard is deck with forest views and separate deck with Hot Tub. You can soak in the tub for hours, enjoying the meadow views.
Down the hall from the living area, is a full bathroom, laundry room and two bedrooms. One room has a queen bed and has a sliding glass door that exits out to a private deck with a view that looks out to a the meadow the house sits on. The other bedroom, has a pillow top King size poster bed, and meadow views.
Up the stairs are two more bedrooms, and a loft. The Master bedroom is large and has a King bed, and twin bed, TV/DVD and bathroom. The high A framed beam ceilings, and the triangle windows above the bed really makes this room special. At night you can see stars, and in the morning you can see the colors of the sky's sunrise. Off the Master is a alcove with twin bed,and another full bathroom with skylights. The loft is adjacent to this with 2 twin beds, and doubles as a game room. There is a full size foosballs table that is a hit for children, and extra room to play cards etc. There is also a private 4th bedroom here with a queen bed witch shares the high beam ceilings, and towering windows.
Each room is unique with custom made duvets, window coverings and throw pillows to give you the charm and comfort you'd expect from a mountain home. The furnishings were custom ordered to compliment the "Pine Lodge" decor. The open areas and high ceiling ,allow you to socialize with family or friends, without feeling closed in.
The location, amenities, and comfort of the home offers a great vacation home that will add to your Lake Tahoe experience.
Please call if this house isn't open for your dates. I have 6 other homes that are as large with the same amenities that might be. Vist laketahoe4u com for more info

activities and attractions in Kings Beach Lake Tahoe Area
This house is in the middle of the Northshore and has easy access to all Lake Tahoe has to offer. 1.5 miles from the highway, getting around the Tahoe Basin is effortless. The drive around the Lake is breathtaking and you'll enjoy the different little towns that surround the Lake. . The house is in a quiet pocket of homes just up from the Lake at Kings Beach .All the homes here sit on a meadow with tall pine trees, and the roads dead end at the hiking trails. Winter and summer they are used and maintained by the forest service. It borders the Tahoe Rim trail which is a destination for some with endless hiking trails you can access from the house. Brockway Summit is well know for its path to Tahoe City, and Watson Lake is worth hiking too. You can walk in the summertime to our neighborhood park, North National Park. The park encompasses approximately 124 acres of predominantly active recreational activities. An 18 par fitness course, ball fields, Frisbee Golf, playground are just a few options. In the wintertime they offer a nice sledding hill for tubing and snow fun. Within 20 min to all the ski resorts on the North Shore, Northstar in the closest and newest village. The village was modeled after Beaver Creek Colorado...cobblestone sidewalks, copper roofs and a multitude of restaurants and shops that line the 'square'. The square is an ice skating rink in the wintertime and roller skating in summer. The bon fire pits and outdoor bars are always there. Its a wonderful setting to hang out at especially at night. Skiing here is family orientated with lots of ski programs for all ages, and a pristine mountain that keeps a good grasp on good snow conditions. If your staying a week, I highly recommend taking advantage of the other resorts also. A bonus is from the house you can drive the back way to Alpine and Squaw Valley which will eliminate the morning traffic through Tahoe City. Both mountains have tons of excellent skiing, and mountain biking in the summertime. MT Rose is where to go for open terrain, Diamond Peak for kids and an easy day skiing. Both are 15 min to the house. In the summertime, Kings Beach just down the street is a State Park with lifeguard and lake toys to rent. The beach is the highlight with wide sandy beaches, and views you have to experience to appreciate. There are also smaller beaches up and down the strip for reading a book, and dog beaches for your loved ones. Brockway golf course in Kings Beach is a must for those that just want a good time. One of the top 9 hole courses in California, its known for its yardage and views. In the wintertime the course becomes a snowmobiling park. Tahoe City is 12 miles away and offers another nice city with shops, restaurants and outdoor venues. The Truckee River is our playground for fishing, river rafting, and bike baths to view all. A nice day is renting your bike in Tahoe City and riding to River Ranch. This is a river front restaurant with large outdoor patio at the entrance to Alpine Meadows. Here is where the river tours end and usually where the rafts have issues. You can spend the day here watching the rafters and enjoying their menu and drink. Between the location , amenities of the house, and your favorite family or friends, you'll have a great home to stay at while getting a true Lake Tahoe experience. see laketahoe4u for more pics
