Playa del Coco lies 35 kilometres (22 miles) west of Liberia,
Guanacaste main city, and is the easiest beach on the Nicoya
Peninsula to access by road from San José. and just 24 km or 20
minutes drive from the Daniel Oduber International Airport in Liberia .


This pleasant fishing town is a popular destination for Ticos, and
offers a variety of nightlife and restaurants. Sailboats and fishing
boats can be seen scattered throughout the bay, offering a great
opportunity to watch local fisherman at work. Playas del Coco is one
of the best known beaches in the country. Plays del Coco is the best
known for it's sports fishing , surfing, scuba diving and snorkeling.

Playas del Coco is the largest village in Guanacaste province of Costa
Rica. Originally known as the main Costa Rica hub for surfers with
places like Ollie’s Point and Witches Rock within easy reach, this
busy beach is a prime scuba diving spot, with many tour and diving
companies set up here. Social life is very active and dining and
nightlife are superb.

Playas del Coco has a fairly well developed infrastructure, good roads
and lots of shops, restaurants, bars, discos, casinos, hotels, resorts
and markets . If you happen to visit the area during Christmas or
Easter week expect to find a lot of people here partying ‘beach
style’, when the main road is practically impassable from 10 pm until
3 am.

The sand of Playas del Coco beach itself is a greyish-brown and the
tide here often remains quite low. Surrounded by steep hills, this
horseshoe shaped bay area is the ideal place to have fun. However, if
you are looking for a quiet spot to relax, try staying away from the
centre of town, which could be quite busy with tourists and local people.

Pelonas Islands, Catalina Islands and Bat Islands, which are excellent
sites to spot turtles, sharks and octopuses in the natural environment
are within easy reach from Playas del Coco. The main attraction of
this beach is a combination of tourist facilities and great weather.
Many tourists also use Playas del Coco as a base camp because of its
affordable accommodation, when traveling around the country.

All our vacation rental properties are located within Las Palmas
Urbanisacion which is abt 900 meters from main street Coco with it's
bars, restaurants, shops etc.

Las Palmas Urbanisacion is a self contained community with it's own
Italian restaurant "La Dolce Vita", Ice-cream parlour, beauty salon,
grocery store, medical centre, etc.

All properties are 250-350 meters from the ocean and Coco Beach and
abt 400 meters from the Beach Club.

All units have fully equipped kitchen and all bed linens and towels
are provided.
There is a guest laundry facility on the grounds, but you can order a
full extra cleaning which includes laundry for extra US$20.00 per
cleaning.

Each unit is fully air-conditioned, has running hot water and cable TV.

The centre of Playas del Coco is a 10 mins walk away.

1. ATV and Canopy tour

It’s a good combination of fun and adventure. First take the Atv
across the mountain by rustic roads and get in touch with the nature
and with 100% adrenaline rush. And this is just the beginning, for
those, who really want to have fun there is a zip line or canopy tour,
that takes you by cables over the tops of the trees, where you can
often see some animals like monkeys, birds and more.

2. Arenal volcano and hot springs
This tour take you to the central valley and around the central

We end up on the plains of San Carlos, dominated by the impressive
cone of the Arenal Volcano, famous for its incredible eruptions, lava
streams and incandescent rocks explosions.
We will visit an ornamental garden the hot springs and spa where you
can get relaxed and observe the Volcano; also we visit the area around
the Arenal lake in search of wildlife.

3. Palo Verde National Park
This is a very nice and relaxing tour where the guests will be able to
see a lot of animals such as: Monkeys, Iguanas, Big Crocodiles, Bats,
Raccoons and a great varieties of Birds such as: Rosette Spoon Billed,
The Osprey, Herons Etc. While you are resting and watching everything
enjoy a boat ride on one of the biggest rivers we have in Costa Rica.
Note: Tour Guide is optional just in case people wants to have a guide
during the whole trip, it costs $40 for the guy.
