From the spacious deck, you have views of Raccoon Cove, Frenchman Bay, Schoodic Point and the mountains of Mount Desert Island. Enjoy Maine's natural beauty and the many attractions it offers while staying in this spotless, pleasant log house that is just right for a couple or for a family of six. Cove House sits on a bluff about 25 feet above the Cove. It has an airy, open-floor plan - a great room with a cathedral ceiling and two stories of glass for panoramic views. Dining area and fully equipped kitchen provide a pleasant eating experience, two bedrooms - one with a king bed and the other with two singles - and a full bathroom with laundry facilities round off the first floor. The second floor contains the master suite with large walk-in closet, king bed, dresser, desk, satellite television, and even has plenty of room for a crib, if needed. The bathroom has a large jaccuzzi and separate shower with glass door. A loft overlooking the living room is ideal to play board games, work on a puzzle, do yoga, or read a good book. A bench overlooking the water is the perfect spot to sit and enjoy the expansive view. There is access to the shore at one place only to protect the delicate vegetation and prevent erosion. Children are welcome. A low allergen environment is maintained by keeping the property smoke- free. No pets, please. Vacation Rental AmenitiesCove House is your home away from home. It is very well appointed with many amenities including satellite TV in the great room and master bedroom, DVD/CD, VCR, and radio. The deck, which faces the Cove, has an umbrella table with four comfortable chairs and a gas grill. Around the corner is a porch with two rocking chairs, a wicker porch set and a beautifully decorated bench to gather around in the evenings. Fully equipped kitchen: dishwasher, microwave, gas range, automatic coffeemaker and grinder, toasters, blender, hand mixer, food processor, electric frying pan, pots and pans, large corn and lobster pots, and even a rice cooker. You have bottled water service at your fingertips. Just bring the baby! Crib, high chair, booster seat, pack-n-play and baby gate are ready and waiting upon request. Fluffy towels, attractive bed linens, handsome carpets and comfortable, furniture make Cove House a very attractive place to enjoy your vacation. Planters and barrels full of flowers welcome our guests. Activities and AttractionsCove House is stocked with many brochures, booklets and maps as well as a Maine DeLorme to help you find any activity or location you're looking for. Fifteen minutes to Ellsworth for groceries, cinema, movie rentals, art galleries, restaurants, gift shops, LL Bean, churches, excellent library and hospital. Visit the Black House and see what life was like in the 1800's. Eat lobster by the Union River, Jaspers or go to Ruth and Wimpy's a couple of miles East of town. Enjoy great food at Cleonice or The Crocker House in Hancock. Visit the many antique shops in the area. In thirty minutes you are in beautiful Acadia National Park with its hiking trails, horseback riding and biking. Have tea and popovers at the Jordan Pond House. Take The Cat to Nova Scotia or go to downtown Bar Harbor with its many shops, restraurants and attractions. Take a whale watching trip, enjoy an evening sail on the Margaret Todd or attend a concert. Travel to Blue Hill or Stonington and see the sites, or kayak in Raccoon Cove or the Skillings. Launch your boat at Marlboro Beach and motor or sail around Frenchman Bay. June 28-August 29 - $1,800/week + 7% tax, $3,300/2 weeks + 7% tax
August 30-October 17 - $1,300/week + 7% tax, $2,300/2 weeks + 7% tax
October 18-November 28 - $975/week, includes utilities. $1700/2 weeks + 7% tax
Christmas-New Year $1,100/week + 7% tax, includes utilities
November 29-March 09 - $975/month, utilities extra
