Hideaway Retreat in Bethany Beach

Bethany Beach, Delaware is one of the Quiet Resorts. Located in southern Delaware it has a unique charm. There are family friendly attractions and an oceanfront boardwalk and bandstand with free concerts throughout the summer season. The beaches are guarded from Memorial day to Labor day.
This is the perfect secluded getaway cottage and yet it is only three blocks from the beach and within walking distance of one of the best crab houses at the shore. Nestled on a quiet street, here you can relax and recharge your batteries. There is an oversized screened porch on the front for cookouts or for that book you want to read or play a game of ping pong. In the back a spacious deck surrounds a 4 foot deep pool for the kids or for lounging, you may never go to the beach. Our cottage features four bedrooms (one on the first floor and three bedrooms up). Two bedrooms feature queen sized beds and two bedrooms have a double bed down and a single bed bunk on top. There is a full bath on each floor. There are two queen sized sleep sofas. We furnish all linens and towels. You only need to bring your beach towels.  We also include an gas grill for your cooking.

With two separate decks and a large screened porch, everyone can find the best spot to relax and fill their needs. On the second floor there is an outdoor deck with seating for eight of more with a table and umbrella for shade. On the first floor you will find an oversized screened in porch with a table for 6 or more and ample seating to enjoy a meal outdoors or relax with a good book. At the rear of the cottage is 20 foot fiberglass pool surrounded by a spacous deck with chairs and a lounge for sunbathing or a nap. You can wander to the beach or enjoy numerous books, board games or cards. Four beach chairs are provided. For a rainy day you will find five DVD players and five VCR's and six televisions, a DVD library and VCR library. There is a large cement parking pad in the front that can accomodate up eight vehicles back to back.  Horseshoes are also provided.

Bethany has a public library, with lending privileges for vacationers. It also conducts frequent
children's activities and a wide variety of books and vidoes that can be borrowed by the week.
Bethany has one of the nicest beaches in Delaware and is perfect for the after dinner stroll. For ice cream you can walk our boardwalk or attend the nightly musical entertainment. Fishing is permitted with a permit during the early morning hours. Nearby in the town of Rehoboth you will find many outlet malls for shopping as well as night spots and amusement parks. Ocean City, Maryland is about a 30 minute drive to the south with all it's attractions. There are numerous public golf courses within 20 minutes of the cottage. Charter boat fishing, wind surfing, swiming, clamming, kayaking, jet skiing, sailing, sport fishing, beachcombing, surfing, shelling miniature golf and windsurfing are all avilable in the area. Dining, from casual to fine dining, is available everywhere. You can eat in a different restaurant for breakfast, lunch and dinner everyday of your visit and never go to the same place twice.

There is a refundable security deposit based on the number of occupants and time of year. The deposit is refunded within 2 weeks if there is no damage. There is a cleaning fee of up to $125.00 depending on the number of guests and pets.
