vacation rental description
Formally an apple packing shed, Shady Acres has all of the amenities of a modern home, with a rustic
feel. Located between the historic towns of Julian and Santa Ysabel in the foothills of San Diego
County, this unique home awaits you and your family for a relaxing get-away in the mountains.
Originally built in the early 1900's, Shady Acres has been fully remodeled into a 3 bedroom 2 bath
home. It sleeps 6 comfortably, and offers a game closet as well as a small video library. Each
bedroom has a modern TV and DVD player as well as a flat screen mounted on the wall in the main
living space.
Shady Acres is situated on five acres with many mature oaks and wildlife. It is coveniently located
in the small community of Wynola, which includes 2 great restauants, and antique mall, an art
gallery, a winery, and a farmers market. The front porch is pleasantly furnished for guests to
play a game, curl up to a good book, or just relax. In the fall and winter there is a beautiful gas
fireplace, as well as a rustic but unique stone bar-b-que outside to enjoy during the warmer months.
There is plenty of parking on the property, and a washer and dryer if needed. No smoking please.
You will also enjoy fresh apple pie, cider and baked goods, compliments of Shady Acres and the Julian Pie Company.
We warmly welcome you and your family to our mountain guest house and know you will enjoy your stay.
