Lakefront Chalet-BEST SUNSETS ON LAKE - ski nearby in Lake Wallenpaupack

Lake Wallenpaupack lakefront chalet with beautiful sunset views for rent.  This home feature two bedrooms, one with a full size bed and one with two singles, and a large loft bedroom area with incredible views of the lake and a queen size bed. There is also a convertible couch with a full size bed in the family room.

The home is located on Lake Wallenpaupack and has a dock which goes into the water in late May. Please let us know if you need the dock.  There is great swimming and fishing from the dock and multiple boat rental locations if you do not have your own boat. The home is located within walking distance to the "Boat House" one of the better restaurants in the area. It is also located in a very private location, with a forested buffer to the side. Home includes Hi-Def TV, Cable and Wireless Internet.

Home can also be rented with our lakefront Sunset View cottage, which is next door and which is listed separately. Both homes combine for a great family reunion site or a great location for friendly getaways with a couple of families.  

The Chalet includes a large living room with a kitchen and Island, windowed sitting room with spectacular views of the lake, a loft/bedroom, two private bedrooms a private bathroom and a large private deck with grill.  Sleeps 8 maximum.

Here are some local ski resorts:

Alpine Mountain- Has 5 lifts, 21 trails and a penguin play park for the smaller children. Approximately 1 hour and 15 minutes from the cabin.

Blue Mountain- 34 trails, 9 lifts, 2 lodges and 3 rental shops make this mountain great for groups and and childcare (Weekdays).  Approximately 2 hours from cabin.


Camelback Ski- Camelback has 33 trails and 17 lifts making this a blast for the whole family. Approximately 45 minutes from cabin.  Skiing, Snowboarding, Tubing.

Elk Mountain-Skiing and Snowboarding available.  Approximately 1 hour and 15 minutes from cabin. Elk Mountain has baby sitting service call for more information.

Jack Frost Mountain/Big Boulder- Jack Frost Mountain features 9 lifts and 30 trails and Big Boulder has 7 lifts and 15 trails. Approximately 1 hour and 15 minutes.


Shawnee Mountain- Shawnee features 23 slopes for every level of experience including Ski Wee Program. Approximately 1 hour from cabin.   Shawnee has 11 lifts, and 23 trails. Skiing, Snowboarding, and Tubing.

Ski Big Bear-Big Bear has enough to do for the whole family. Featuring 6 lifts, 18 trails, snowtubing oriented  Ski School. Big Bear is located approximately 30 minutes from the cabin.

Sno Mountain- Skiing, Tubing, and Snowboarding. Must be at least 5 years old for these activities. Approximately 1 hour from cabin.

Fernwood Winder Fun Center- Snow tubing and ice skating available. Approximately 45 minutes from cabin .

The Ice Box-If you are looking for a place to ice skate, the Ice Box is your answer.
Located approximately 45 minutes from cabin.

Dock Provided, Outdoor Deck, with gas grill, Deck Furniture, Deck Table and seating, Fully furnished, kitchen with microwave, oven. Furniture, HiDef TV, Cable, Wireless Internet.  Tenants responsible for bringing their own Bedding, Linens and Towels.

Boating, fishing, kayaking, shopping, dining, skiing, golf, horseback riding, tennis, antiquing, hiking nearby and walking on the property and on private roads in the association.

-June 8 - June 29 $1,700 per week/ $300 per night
-June 30 - Sept 1 $1,975 per week (weekly rentals only)
-Sept 4 - Oct 12 $1,700 per week/ $300 per night
-Oct 13 - Dec 1 $1,400 per week/ $225 per night

minimum 2 night stay for non summer rentals, summers are weekly only.
