Beach House in Manasota Key

A nice surprise!

We were looking for a quiet beachfront location and we found it on Manasota Key.
The house was exactly what we were looking for, clean, roomy and comfortable. (If you're looking for that typical Florida Mediterranean villa then this is not the place.) The owners thought of every amenity, including sun tan lotion and band aids! The beach was great, nice and wide, not crowded ...a great place for finding sharks teeth and shells. We will definitely rent this house again, already we miss it and think of it as OURS!!!! Thank you for sharing your place at the beach with us!

My husband and I chose the location of this house for our wedding in 2009. We got married on the beach, and stayed in the house for the following week. It couldn't have been better! The house was beautiful and clean. The owners and caretaker fulfilled every request we had. We would recommend this house to anyone looking for a great vacation.

great beachfront with unfriendly owners

My family of ten stayed at this house for a week. As we all unpacked in our rooms, it was very noticable how unkept things were. Spider webs on lights, inch thick dust on fans, and mold in showers to name a few things. But that's not even the problem. The old laundry dryer broke so they got us a new one the next day. But, that one stopped working too. There seemed to be a clog of lint or whatever in the vent. So they had us talk with an appliance person who said not to use the dryer that it could be a fire hazard. When we asked the owners what we should do with this issue and the pile of wet towels that were now molding- she told us that we were lying and just trying to get $ taken off the bill. The owner even went as far as to threaten my father with "I don't think you want my large husband to come down there". These people acted like we were asking for the world. And they try to oversee all while being out of state.
