The Beach House in Russian River

Recent renovations! New carpet in four bedrooms, fresh coat of paint in living/dining/kitchen, beautiful bamboo floor downstaris, new plates and kitchen gear ... all kinds of care is taken to make this house beautiful and comfortable for you.

The name says it all. This five-bedroom beauty is as close to the
river as the law and nature will allow, and overlooks one of the best
beaches on the lower Russian River. With a large, gracious living/dining area, huge deck, bbq/hot tub patio, and spacious back yard, this is the perfect vacation home for a family or larger group.

There are five bedrooms: cal king, queen, full, and twins (bunk bed) are upstairs. Downstairs is a single with a desk and half-bathroom right nextdoor. The master bedroom has its own deck, french doors, a two-sink vanity, and a beautiful new tile bathroom. The shower has two shower-heads and a little seat. And a skylight. There is another full bathroom upstairs too.

The whole house is oriented toward the river and morning sun. The
main deck is 16' x 24' and overlooks a large fenced-in garden, which is perfect for napping, picnicking, or playing with your kids and/or dog. There are about a dozen fruit trees providing you with free food in the summer. 

In the photo of the downstairs you'll see one of the best features of the house: a big, open-plan living and dining room. That couch was custom-made for this space, and is as comfortable as it looks. There's a 32" digital TV in that armoire, and that dining table seats 10-12 people. To the right, just out of sight, a wood-stove set in brick. And the windows look out onto the deck, and beyond that, the river.

The kitchen is spacious and well-organized, with big picture windows
looking out toward, you guessed it, the river. I've added a beautiful flagstone patio on one side of the house, which is where you'll find the big fancy hot tub, a top-of-the-line 7-person Dimension One Arena, under two giant redwood trees.

There's also a hammock nearby, in case there's any confusion about
what you should be doing here (nothing). Got another hammock in the backyard in the summer.

The beach you see in the photo is 30 seconds away, and a great place
to swim, sunbathe, or launch a canoe. And if you like birds, bring your
binoculars. There are half a dozen species of hawk around here. I've sat on my porch and watched an osprey dive for fish right in front of me.

There are two canoes in the backyard for you to use responsibly (though not in winter, when the river is dangerous).

From layout to decor to location, location, location, this house is hard to beat in the categories of charm, comfort, convenience, and beauty.

The Russian River, in case you don't know it, is ideal for swimming,
fishing, kayaking, canoeing, etc.
We are also in wine country. Wineries are a short drive (or beautiful
bike ride) away. The ocean is 20 minutes west.

May - September:
$435 / Night - $2610 / Week
1 week minimum stay (with some exceptions).
October - April:
$330 / Night - $1980 / Week
2 night minimum stay.
Holidays have minimum stays. Please contact owner for details. 10% extra on some holidays.
Sonoma county hotel tax, for stays less than 31 days, is 9% of the rental
 (cleaning fee must be taxed).
Cleaning Fee: $125 (includes linens).
Refundable Security Deposit: $500. Refunded within ten days of your
departure.
Dog Deposit (refundable): $100
