Lovely Home To Stay At

Review submitted: January 8, 2012   Date of arrival: December 23, 2011

The description of the property is extremely accurate. There has been a lot of thought and effort put into listing everyting. We appreciated that a lot. It made deciding to stay here that much easier.
The home is very well equipped. Everything is very good quality. Nothing has been cheaped out on and no corners have been cut. If there is something extra that one may need, the owner was very hospitable and always available to help in any further manner. We felt very welcomed and felt very much at home. It was a very pleasant place to stay.
The property was very clean. The neighborhood and general area was full character and friendly people. It is very peaceful and quiet. Evenings spent on the patio for a barbecue and campfire were great ways to cap off a day.
During the day, we took a number of day trips with our rented vehicle. (There is very accomodating parking at the home, as well.) We especially enjoyed Saguaro National Park with a stop at Old Tucson Studios. Others involved a day trip to Tombstone and Benson; Tubac (with its many boutiques and local art shops) and one to Phoenix (where we stopped to eat at The Brazilian Bull for dinner). The Musical Instrument Museum is a highlight place stop in Phoenix and takes about 2 hrs to see.
The first restaurant we tried in Tucson was Old Pueblo Grille. It had a great outdoor patio, very picturesque place with lots of character and history behind the building. Very reasonable prices, service was great, food was excellent, authentic Mexican menu.
For New Year's Eve we went to McMahon's Steakhouse. If you want the best in your dining experience, this would have to be the place. Everything was amazing.
On the opposite end of the dining scale (place to avoid) was the Panda Super Buffet. It seemed like it would be ok to try but, no... just plain and simple No.
When looking for groceries, we ended up at Safeway. There seemed to be a number of them around and easy to access.
