Quail Ranch in Fort Bragg

Location: Mendocino County, North Coast, California, USA (2 Miles North of Fort Bragg)
This is a two bedroom, one and one-half bathroom, single story, beautifully decorated
home in western
style. It sleeps 4-5 people. There are thick, luxurious mattresses on the 2 queen beds.
The large L-
shaped sofa is filled
with very comfy goose down and sleeps one person. The interior features Mexican and
southwestern
decor and furniture,
including the oil paintings and other artifacts. There's a dishwasher, washer/dryer,
woodstove,
double oven,
central heat, HDTV, DVD and CD. There's a 2 car, attached garage, private front
courtyard. Wide
furnished decks wrap around the back and side. The ranch style house sits on 3 acres of
woods and
gardens with a bubbly creek running through it.

This is a perfect place to bring your well behaved dog since the property is completely
enclosed by
fences. So you can walk your dog, free of a leash, except in the State Park.

The property borders Mackerricher State Park and Lake Cleone, with a short path leading
to the nature
trail that winds around the lake and to the ocean beach, just a few minutes away.

Lake Cleone is stocked with bass and trout and has a launch ramp for small motorless
boats, i.e.,
rowboats, kayaks, canoes and sailboats. River otters may entertain you with their comical,
water
antics and their love for play. Many egrets, blue heron and osprey may be observed while
hiking
around the beautiful nature trail that winds around the lake and to the ocean.

Mackerricher State Park boasts its pristine, uncrowded, sandy beaches, magnificent cliffs
and waves
of wildflowers. Shorebirds galore feed along the 10 miles of beach that stretch north of
Fort Bragg
to 10 Mile River. The boardwalk to Laguna Point will provide an easy walk out to observe
the Harbor
seals, snoozing on the rocks or feeding in the ocean at the end of the pier. If the time is
right,
you may also see whales during their migration. Cormorants and Oystercatchers and
many other seabirds
are plentiful to view.


Quail Ranch is a very private, dog friendly and quiet place for those seeking comfort and
serenity
but also just minutes from shopping, galleries and restaurants in Fort Bragg and
Mendocino. Quail
