Chocker's Point in Martha's Vineyard

This is a wonderful relaxed family house with it's own beach access on
Menemsha Pond. It is a classic Vineyard "summer camp" house from 1950.
It is updated but still simple, well loved and somewhat worn.
That just means the furniture isn't fancy, though it contains some
classic pieces (Eames etc.). The views are spectacular, 9/10ths
surrounded by water. It is a place for reading to your grandkids,
looking for Hermit crabs, or having a family supper in candlelight on
the large porch. There is even a small building used for a writer's
private workspace. It is not a place for fancy dinner parties or any
formal entertaining, though we just had a family wedding there.
There are 2 bedrooms with double beds, 2 charming bunkrooms with built
in beds and one single bedroom. There is an outdoor shower, a
hammock, a garden and places on the 11 acres (with Conservation land)
to roam. It has one full bathroom, one bedroom has it's own sink and
toilet and there is a large outdoor shower. There is no TV, it is a
good place to get away from all that and play board games (supplied)in
the "conversation pit" by the fireplace.

Dishwasher, washer and dryer, microwave, CD player, coffee machine,
blender. Linens included.

All the activities available on Martha's Vineyard. Lots of fishing,
sailing, kayaking. Ocean beaches (you can get a sticker to the town
beaches with your lease), pond beaches perfect for small children,
country walks, fine restaurants, a fishing village with fantastic
fresh seafood nearby, a Community Center day camp program for kids, a
wonderful local library, shopping, golf, mini-golf, and the ever
popular "Galley" in nearby Menemsha for hamburgers, milkshakes etc.
