The Neek Kaan condos are conveniently located between progreso and
Chicxulub - a quiet section between two bustling towns. You can easily
take a local bus or taxi into Progreso to enjoy a walk along the
malecon(seawalk), have a beach-side massage, shop, and enjoy the many
great seafood restaurants.
It's easy and inexpensive to take a bus into Merida to enjoy the
nightlife, cultural activities, fine dining, and ambiance of this
colonial city.
Or rent a car for the duration of your stay, or just one or two days,
and tour haciendas and Mayan ruins.
Go fishing, take a kayak trip or mangrove tour, beach-comb, birdwatch
(flamingos abound), learn to sail
or kite-board at Marina Silcer - only a few blocks away.
Shopping for supplies is easy - there is a large Wal-Mart superstore
in Progreso, a San Francisco grocery store downtown, many small
stores, and a new farmer's mercado in Progreso.
