Two bedroom, one and a half bathroom vacation home, stylishly furnished, available for rent. Located
in a quiet gated waterfront resort commmunity, 19 miles east of colorful historic Key West. Access
from scenic Overseas Highway (US 1). Just the drive down through the Keys is worth the trip. Boat
ramp and storage, water sports, incredible fishing and diving. Access to a wide range of amenities,
including a waterfront swimming pool, hot tub, tennis and basketball courts, picnic area, beach,
playground for kids, etc.

Good value for money

This rental is in VentureOut, a gated community on Cudjoe Key. Community is a mix of trailer pads, double wides, and prefab homes on stilts. Some homes are set on canals (ours wasn't).
Community has local store, boat ramps, and pool. Pool is large, pristine, and surrounded by palms overlooking Cudjoe bay--gorgeous. Gate is manned 24/7; we really liked the security. Strict quiet hour rules and no-food-or-drink-at-pool rules keep the pool clean and the area attractive. Pool hours till 11 p.m. make late evening swims possible.
Our rental, a double wide, had 2 BRs, 1.5 baths, u-shaped kitchen with adjacent dining room, living room with full cable, and parking space for 1 mid-sized car (tight for anything larger, which might have to go to overflow parking area near pool, but not particularly difficult for any other size.) Washer/dryer in bedroom closet gave us clean clothes every day.
Kitchen was functional. Plenty of glassware, coffemaker, etc. U shape makes food transfer to dining room area easy. Furniture in dining and living rooms was comfortable after day outings in sun and water. Fans in various rooms keep air moving for comfort.
Owners Dave and Carol were easy to work with and answered any questions we had quickly. Security deposit was returned in a timely manner.
We were there in late May, when some owners were gone for the summer, so we can't speak for winter time, when keys are generally more crowded.
All in all, a good value for the money, and a good location for exploring the lower keys.

Recommended for: adventure seekers, age 55+, romantic getaway

OK but read review

Comfortable for 2 Adults MAX. Good deal as long as you stick to that recomendation. You will not be able to park a full size truck in YOUR parking space. You have only one. Only other option is to park far away in overflow parking that you have to pay extra for. As long as these two things are not an issue this is a good place to stay for the money. The community has nice perks with the pool and a nice boat ramp.

Owners response: Hello, here's our response.
We have had scores of rentals since 2007 and often parties of five or six. Never had anyone say there's only room for two. As advertised, there are two bedrooms with double beds and a foldout sofa in the living room. Queen-size in the master, full-size in the second bedroom, and the foldout is a full-size. The unit is 749 sq. ft.; if you send an inquiry you can view photos.
The parking space at the unit is plenty big enough for a full-size car, but a squeeze for BIG truck, probably not room enough for a double-cab. For a vehicle that size you would need to park at the marina, about a hundred yards away. Parking there is $2 a night and we'll be happy to cover that. We agree about the perks and the boat ramps.
