exploring all the area has to offer. Bring your laptop, the property

This area is a boaters paradise. Whatever you enjoy, whether it's
fishing in the Gulf of Mexico, cruising and sight-seeing in the
intracoastal waterway and inland bays, jet skiing, kayaking,
watersking or wakeboarding, there are numerous options very close
by. If you don't want to bring your boat with you, there are plenty of boat rental options in the area. If you simply want to relax on a white, sandy beach, there are a number to choose from and they offer some great shelling
opportunities. Many of the beaches are within 5 miles from this
location.
If the water isn't for you there is still plenty to do. Enjoy the
shops and restaurants on Dearborn Street, just a block away. Spend a
day at the boutiques on Boca Grande, shop at the Port Charlotte Town
Center Mall or travel a little further to Fisherman's Village in
Punta Gorda (40 minutes) or head north to Sarasota (30 minutes). If
shopping isn't what you are looking for, there are almost as many
golfing opportunities as there are shopping options! At least 6
courses within 15 minutes from the property.
The area also offers great local entertainment at the community
theaters.

So much to do in the area. If you enjoy fishing you can utilize one
of the fishing piers in the area, spend the day with on the water
with a guide or rent a boat to tour the water on your own (there's plenty of parking if you want to bring your boat with you). For those that enjoy a quieter and slower pace kayak rentals are nearby too.
There are numerous (at least 6) public golf courses with a 10 mile
radius from the property and also a number of public tennis courts.
The local community pool is about 5 miles away, a great way to meet
people living in the area or traveling here themselves. Do I even
need to mention the beach? The Englewood beach is about 5 minutes
from the property. There are restroom facilities, play equipment
for the kids and lots of sand and shells to spend you're day hunting
for the perfect shell or to build the most spectacular castle of
sand!
And then there is shopping. You can walk to the shops and eateries
on Dearborn Street. With a car you options are overwhelming! Boca
Grande on Gasparilla Island is well worth the $4 toll to go explore
the town and its' beaches for the day. In about 15 minute you will
feel like you're on a Caribbean Island as you drive over the
causeway and see the gorgeous turquoise water. The Town Center Mall
in Port Charlotte is about a 20 minute drive, Fisherman's Village in
Punta Gorda offers open air shopping with gorgeous views of
Charlotte Harbor, it's within a 40 minute drive. Sarasota, with all
it has to offer in the way of entertainment, restaurants and unique
botiques, is about 30 minutes away.
