New Oceanfront Luxury Condo Punta Arena 5th fl. in Bucerias

The breath-taking view from the fifth floor terrace of this condo invites you to revel in the sights and sounds of Banderas Bay. This corner unit enjoys wrap-around floor to ceiling glass doors that fold back to open the entire living, dining and master bedroom to 500 square feet of marble terrace, furnished with lounge chairs and a table for outdoor dining.

As you look left, you see the beach wind its way to Puerto Vallarta; to the right, follow the shore line through Bucerias and La Cruz de Huanacaxtle until it meets the horizon. You won't find a better view anywhere and you can even sleep to the sound of ocean waves.

This luxurious condo is decorated with furniture custom designed and hand crafted by Domingo Hecht, of an old Tlaquepaque family, just for this special place. Lovely Mexican folk art adds to the decor. The gourmet kitchen has everything you'll want to prepare a midnight snack for two or a sit down
dinner for six. Of course, we have ceiling fans and air conditioning throughout.

Internet access is provided as well as satellite TV in English for the flatscreen TV. CD & DVD with a selection of music and movies provide additional entertainment. The condo is a spacious 1400 square feet and exceptionally well crafted with marble floors, 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms, with an open plan kitchen, living and dining area accenting those exceptional views. The master bedroom has a queen
sized bed and the second bedroom has 2 twins, with an option to convert to a king bed.

It is a fifth floor corner unit in a 30 unit gated building with 24 hour security. A large infinity pool awaits you at the ocean's edge and a fully equipped workout room, also with ocean views, is on site.

You will be met by our property manager who can answer any questions on your arrival and throughout your stay. She can also arrange to pick you up at the airport, and schedule an in unit massage. There is a booklet at the condo with restaurant recommendations and information about things to do in the area.

Bucerias is small, charming Mexican town on the Bay of Banderas, just 12 miles north of the Puerto Vallarta International Airport. It is the perfect destination to enjoy a relaxed lifestyle, walk miles of white sand beach or explore colorful bougainvillea lined cobblestone streets. Whales frequent the Bay in winter months while body surfing and shell collecting are popular activities in every season.

You can fill your days on one of the beautiful 18 hole golf courses, deep sea fishing, touring a Tequila factory, snorkeling, scuba diving, wind surfing or exploring the jungle during a canopy tour.

Just outside the gate of the condo, you will find a coffee shop with free Wi-Fi, a small market for food and necessities, a tour booking service for excursions and an open air crafts market. Next door is an excellent beachfront, palapa covered restaurant or stroll down the beach to explore other options, from fine dining to taco stands. You will discover a diversity of cuisines available:  seafood, Mexican, Italian and vegetarian, among others. Bucerias is easily navigated on foot and the colorful central plaza is a gathering spot. Small markets line the streets offering groceries, liquor, fresh fish and tortillas. Exploring the neighborhood, you will find a pharmacy, massage therapist and ATM. While Spanish is the native language, shop owners and restaurant staff frequently
speak English and will assist you to overcome any language barrier.

Downtown Puerto Vallarta is only a 45 minute ride from the condo. Buses run along the main road in Bucerias and taxis are available in the central plaza. Take a trip to El Centro, the heart of old town Puerto Vallarta for terrific shopping, sightseeing, restaurants and exciting nightlife. A car rental shop is only 3 blocks away if you want to explore the further reaches of the Bay on
your own. This might include a drive to the surfing town of Sayulita, the old mining town of San Sebastian in the mountains of the Sierra Madre, the resort town of San Pancho or shopping in Nuevo Vallarta. If you rent a car, a parking space is designated for your use at the condo.

These are some comments from our renters last year.  Ann, my partner, did a survey to see how our first year renters felt about their stay with us and these are a few lines of each response.

I assume you are co-owner with Betsy Robertson, who was the person I initially arranged the rental through?  In any event, yes we thoroughly enjoyed our 3 weeks in 5A - it was a fantastic spot for just being on the beach and exploring Bucerias.  We are familiar with PV having stayed in el centro many times, but we were after some better beach-walking than PV offers and a quieter setting - Bucerias has both, and we were completely thrilled with the way the Bucerias-Nuevo Vallarta stretch of beach has such a wide, flat, and silky soft low tide zone - you see none of this further south on the PV beaches.  

Your furniture is very tasteful and manages to be both modern and Mexican which fits the unit perfectly.   

We enjoy cooking with local supplies, and going shopping in the fruteria, seafood vendors, etc. - so the fully equipped kitchen in these units is great for us.  

On the shopping for groceries front, we did have Fernando take us to the Mega on day 3, but that was the only time as we eventually found everything we need in Bucerias and on foot.
