Our fabulous Post and Beam home is unlike anything else in Bar
Harbor. It sits along the shore of Frenchman's Bay. The
main floor has a cathedral ceiling with two stories of glass windows
overlooking Frenchman's Bay.  it was designed by a local builder with attention to detail; it is the perfect escape for guests with the most discriminating tastes.
Entering the house you are met with a breathtaking living room and
dining area with hardwood floors, a large stone fireplace and
leather furniture. A two story wall of windows overlooks Frenchman's
Bay. The uniquely designed sunroom is the perfect retreat to read a
book or watch for the ocassional eagle or other water wildlife.
French doors lead to a deck, perfect for BBQ's and relaxing. This
area provides spectacular views of the water during the day and
especially at sunset.
The three story floor plan of this house offers spacious common
areas while maintaining privacy for the sleeping quarters. It lends
itself both to couples sharing a vacation home and families wanting
a separate play area for the children. Walk upstairs to the alcove
loft that overlooks the living area equipped for office space or for
a quiet retreat. Continue on to the master bedroom complete with a
walk in closet and sitting area. The master bathroom has a large
walkout shower and granite countertops. The king size bed has a
luxury pillow top mattress. On the main floor the beautiful kitchen
is furnished with every amenity including a dishwasher, microwave,
electric stove, double stainless sink and complete granite
countertops with a bar open to the dining room making it a perfect
place to re-connect with family and friends. Downstairs is a
beautiful family room with a second television and lots of room to
relax. Beautiful views of the water can be seen from this large
area offering a great spot for the kids to play or the guys to watch
the big game.
Finally, one of the best attractions about this home is its
location. It is 75 feet from Frenchman's Bay and has complete access
to Frenchman's Bay and the Atlantic Ocean. The house is 8 miles from
the enchanting Village of Bar Harbor, Mt. Desert Island’s artistic,
culinary, and social center. Located on the shores of Frenchman’s
Bay, it offers the charm of a small New England fishing village with
all the attractions of a major resort including restaurants,
shopping, and a lively nightlife. The house is just 3 miles from the
entrance to Acadia National Park, Nearby are entrances to some of
the best hiking trails in the country, as well as a huge variety of
outdoor activities including whale watching, canoeing, kayaking,
rock
climbing, deep sea fishing, sailing, biking, and much more. Also
close by is the popular Sand Beach, Thunder Hole, and Cadillac
Mountain, the most beautiful place to watch the sun rise
in the country.

We are 10 minutes from Bar Harbor (6 miles) with its shopping and
restaurants and 10 minutes to Acadia National Park, with plenty of
bike trails and hiking.
The Bar Harbor and Mt Desert area is a wonderful place to vacation
with its rock-bound coast and soaring granite cliffs. From the
stonewall-lined and tree-covered road leading you into our village,
to the sweeping vistas from atop Cadillac Mountain, there is a
special mystique to Bar Harbor. Nestled on the east side of Mt.
Desert Island, surrounded by Acadia National Park, we have welcomed
visitors for over a hundred years. Bar Harbor and Acadia National
Park have a wide variety of offerings for visitors. There truly is
something for everyone.
We offer a wide array of activities from the most relaxed to the
most rigorous, dining for all tastes and budgets and shopping in our
unique shops and galleries. Be sure to plan enough time to enjoy our
area and consider using us as a base of operations to see all of
Downeast Maine. We are only a short distance to other famous
attractions such as Campobello Island, Franklin Roosevelt's summer
home, the Schoodic Peninsula, the mainland part of Acadia National
Park, and other islands, coastal attractions and nature based
attractions. Once the summer playground of wealthy and famous
Americans, Bar Harbor was celebrated throughout the world as a
quiet, beautiful resort village, worlds away from the hustle and
bustle of New York, Boston, and Paris. Today, the "summer people"
still come to our island paradise, but many visitors also arrive for
the brilliant fall foliage. And more and more, people are coming to
experience our winter wonderland and the surprises of spring.

- Spring through May 25 - $1,800 per week
- May 25 through June 22 - $2,400 per week
- June 22 through July 20 - $3,200 per week
- July 20 through September 2 - $3,800 per week
- September 2 through October 2 - $2,400 per week
- October 2 through Winter - $1,800 per week
Weekly (Saturday to Saturday) or Monthly Rentals.
Linens, bedding and towels supplied with all homes.
Please advise of any special requirements.
Cribs and other special required furnishings for our guests may be
made available as a condition of the rental agreement for an
additional fee.
The number of guests is limited to the number stated in the rental
agreement.
Our policy is not to allow pets, however we may allow some pets
under special circumstances. Please discuss your special
requirements with us and keep in mind that we have a local leash law.
Note that an additional fee and a damage deposit will be required.
