vacation rental description

This is a great vacation spot in this lakeside home. The nautical sunroom walks
out onto a large deck overlooking the water; catch the sun rise with your coffee.  The cottage has two bedrooms with queen size beds and the dormitory room has 8 bunk beds. the den is great for relaxing out of the sun. It has a television with DirectTV and CD/DVD player.


There patio is equipped with gas grill (including propane tank), table, chairs and umbrella.  The sugar sand beach area has a firepit, adirondeck chairs and lounge chairs.  There is a dock to moor your boat, swim raft, two paddle boats and a 14' row boat available to use. 

Located only 10 minutes from Traverse City.

A Great Place for a Vacation!

Our stay at this cottage was wonderful. We have rented in the Traverse City virtually every summer for 30+ years and this was the best cottage yet. the pictures accurately convey the reality. The cottage is very nice and homey. The game room area is excceptional and the bedrooms are great, with a very spacious master suite. The cottage is large enough to accommodate a large group. We had 6 adults and room to spare.

The beach is sandy and slopes gently. There is a raft that is deep enough for diving but not too deep. Silver Lake is very clear and clean with great fishing for smallmouth bass, walleye and panfish.

The only thing missing in 2010 was cable TV and internet access. We see where this has been addressed, which cements an "excellent" rating for this cottage.

A "sleeper" feature of this rental is its proximity to the prime shopping area of Traverse City. Within ten minutes you ccan be shopping at the Grand Traverse Mall, Meijer, Wal Mart, etc. Add 5 minutes and you are shopping historic Frnt Street, which is a favorite activity for our family. Excellent eateries are within this travel envelope as well.

Bridgett Popp is great to work with and is a good hostess. She is helpful as needed but willing to stand back and let you enjoy your stay.

If we are able to return to Traverse City in 2011, this will be our primary cottage option. We heartily and unequivocally recommend it to all.

Recommended for: adventure seekers, families with young children, families with teenagers
