vacation rental description
Bún Cill Átha & Bárr Cill Átha are identical twins; very generously proportioned single storey homes
boasting floor areas of 1,500 sq.ft. (140 m²) each. A wide hallway leads to a vast open plan fully
equipped kitchen with adjacent dining area and lounge. Like all other rooms, it allows much natural
light into the house and has the added benefit of two French doors leading to the patio and gardens.
The two very spacious bedrooms each have their own full en-suite facilities with jaccuzzi baths.
All rooms are beautifully and stylishly decorated and are cheerfully bright, carefully finished with
high quality furnishings, paying much attention to detail. Naturally, bed linen and hotel quality
towels are provided for your use. Central heating keeps you snug and warm, and the open fire can be
used to create an even more comfortable atmosphere. There is satellite television in the lounge.
Please note that for the benefit of all guests, these are non-smoking houses.
Both homes have a view of Kenmare Bay, and glorious views of the surrounding mountains.
Outside, both homes avail of large private parking areas, large lawns and patios for which furniture
is provided. Children in your party will be delighted with being able to stretch their legs
outdoors, well away from the public road, after a day's touring. The gardens are also frequented by
roaming deer early in the morning and late in the evening; if you feel like entertaining them, we
recommend placing cabbage somewhat away from the house (as deer are naturally cautious and will keep
their distance).
Within easy walking distance from the property (circa 1 mile) is the popular Sailor's Bar, and the
walk into town takes about 40 minutes along quiet roads.
In recent years, we have therefore newly built or carefully restored, and lovingly furnished and
fitted out a small number of Self Catering properties in or near Kenmare town. The properties were
designed and finished to our own high standards of comfort and requirement for space, and will truly
offer you a home away from home. Kenmare is an ideal base to explore, the South West of Ireland .
Co. Kerry, with the Ring of Kerry, Muckross House, and the Gap of Dunloe on your doorstep, as well
as the infamous Ring of Beara in Co. Cork, which starts in Kenmare.
