Hope Farms Vacation Home is a 5000 square foot facility with 6
bedrooms and 4 baths. Hope Farms is located in the middle of 54
acres , surrounded by other large ranches. Visit a slice of pine
country 2 miles away at Bueschere and Bastrop state parks. Hope Farms
offers a relaxing atmosphere for your special reunions with family and
friends. Located on Colorado river bottom land, the fertile grass
lands are in the heart of cattle country. The home handles large
groups with ease. Located just 40 miles outside Austin (just 35
minutes from ABIA airport) , & 103 miles from San Antonio &120 miles
from Houston.

Enjoy our large solarium enclosed pool with a 20 x 40 pool or soak inthe 8 foot diameter hot tub. Entertainment includes a game area withpool table, foosball, air hockey, ping pong table. 

The facility has a superlarge kitchen area that is often the place for conversation as meals are prepared. The separate formal dining has seating for 8 in addition to dining table and bar area in kitchen.

The formal parlor with hand carved fireplace mantle is great for visiting
and spending quality time with family or friends. The Entertainment
Room is large and has room for all to enjoy viewing the 52" RCA HDTV

Laundry facilities are also available.

Area attractions include include hiking and biking in the state parks
with ajoining mountian bike course. The area has 4 golf courses
for the golfer. Kayaking is available on the Colorado river, Horse
back riding is a feature activity for the area. A zoo and auto museum
are also nearby. Fishing is available in 25 acre Buescher State park
that is state stocked with fish.  Fayette Lake is 30 minutes away with
great bass fishing with guided trips available.  Smithville is only
three miles away with Antiques and a railroad museum. The nationally
famous Round Top antique area is 35 minutes away.

vacation rental rates

$550 per day for 2 day minimun.  $3150  per week.

3 to 4 Day Special at $485.00 per day until 5-31-2010. Specials do not include holidays.  Summer rentals at $520.00 per day.

A 13 percent tax is added to all rentals.  No deposit is required.

Great place for large group

We rented Hope Farms for a family reunion (20 people) and found it to be perfect for our needs (single story with 6 separate bedrooms plus spacious family/TV room for teenagers/young adults). The large kitchen was great and screen-covered pool was in constant use due to 100+ temps in June. The house was maintained well and Tom cleaned the pool every morning. The owners were very personable, attentive and accommodating, slipping in to do maintenance, but practically invisible. Highly recommend for large groups.

Recommended for: age 55+, families with young children, people with disabilities, families with teenagers, girls getaway, sight seeing

Owners response: Hope Farms is great for sharing the rural farm atmosphere, with the animals and the huge Longhorns. The home allows ample room for groups and the serenity is great.

My wife and I recently stayed with friends at Hope Farms for a golfing weekend for the men and a shopping weekend for the ladies. The house and grounds was everything that we expected. We really enjoyed the large kitchen and bar area where we always seemed to congregate. Wish that it would have been a little warmer so that we could have enjoyed the pool. Tom and Zandra were very helpful when they were needed. Look forward to possibly coming back.

Our family rented Hope Farms for our 1st annual family reunion. We had a great time. The house was so accomodating for our large group. We played kickball and baseball and relaxed in the refreshing pool and hot tub. There is plenty to do for all ages. We plan to return. Tom and Zandra are really friendly and helpful. It truly is a relaxing time.

We had a family reunion at Hope Farms the week before Christmas. The house was spacious and accomodated 17 adults (ages 18-83) quite comfortably . Even in December, we thoroughly enjoyed the pool and hottub; we all agreed this was the perfect place for our reunion. The kitchen and eating area were large enough for all of us to eat together and added to the festive atmosphere. Tom and Zandra Combs (owners) were always available and helpful, and we highly recommend it for large families.

Our family recently stayed at Hope Farms. We had a wonderful time. There were enough activities to keep everyone occupied, and enough quiet spaces to chill if desired. The "innkeepers" were delightful and on hand when we needed them, but invisible when we didn't. A delightful experience.
