Our home, "Southern Gem" is just a short walk from Florida's Emerald Coast - One of the World's Most Beautiful Beaches! The cottage is the closest of all cottages to the private resort beach and is ideally located by the heated pool, hot tub, tennis courts, fitness room and clubhouse. High Speed Wireless Internet Access is available at the cottage & at the clubhouse. Maravilla Resort offers two and one-half acres of private beach and two swimming pools. Next to our cottage is a grassy area for playing frisbee, badminton, playing ball or "putting" with your golf clubs. Three restaurants are within walking distance from our location. Silver Sands Factory Outlet Center is two miles east and the  Destin Commons Shopping Complex is about one mile west.
We have many features you will not find in many cottages. High ceilings and custom plantation shutters throughout the cottage provide a cozy beachy feeling and allow plenty of sunlight to brighten your day. We have new granite countertops and a fully stocked kitchen. New custom installed flat screen TV in the Master Bedroom, & Flatscreens in the LR & BR. Patio furniture is provided on the back deck for your relaxation. There is plenty of room (1500 sq. ft.) to stretch out, relax and enjoy your vacation.  There is no high rise condo to deal with, no waiting for an elevator, and parking is available at your front door. Our cottage is close enough to have a swim in the morning to start your day and a soak in the hot tub for your relaxation at night!
