Casa de Felicidade in Palm Springs

In Spanish and Portuguese, "felicidade" means happiness, joy, felicity, luck, prosperity, and well being. We've named our south Palm Springs oasis Casa de Felicidade to celebrate the splendor of desert living, whether that's a day of golf, shopping, or lounging in the sun by the pool.
Just down the hillside from Bob Hope's house and across the street from the former site of Gene Autry's ranch (later owned by Merv Griffin), the luster and luxury of old Palm Springs meets modern
comfort in Waverly Park. A fully-gated community at the south end of Palm Springs, it is immaculately
gardened with greenbelts, palms, and flowers throughout, and is sheltered from the winds of the north end by the stunning San Jacinto Mountain range visible from the kitchen and living room.

Freshly painted throughout in October 2008, the 1348 sq. ft. condo features Saltillo tiles lining the high-ceilinged rooms. The living room and attached dining area feature comfortable seating for
four-to-six people, a wet bar, and a gas fireplace for cool evenings.
The tv and dvd are discreetly hidden in an antique armoir and include basic cable. Wireless Internet and local phone service are also included, as well as a stereo and CD player connected to the wireless Internet, should you wish to play your iTunes or Rhapsody library from your laptop.
Two enclosed private patios accessed by sliding glass doors feature three separate fountains, patio seating, and a gas grill.
In the kitchen, stainless steel appliances are surrounded by new granite countertops. The kitchen is fully stocked with dishware, glasses, utensils, cooking tools, cookbooks, and everything you'll
need to enjoy morning coffee or evening margaritas on either patio.
The master suite includes a dual-sink vanity and shower, an antique armoir, and a California king
bed, with access to the back patio and a fountain just outside the sliding glass door. The second
bedroom with its queen bed has its own full bath across the hall, with a tub/shower combination.
The unit also features a den that makes a fantastic reading room, looking out to the shaded front
patio and the bubbling urn fountain. The leather sofa opens to a comfortable full-sized bed, should family or friends stop by for a visit.
Plenty of closet and cupboard space throughout, and ceiling fans in addition to central air and
heating in every room.
The two-car garage keeps your car out of the sun and features a full-sized washer and dryer.
Three swimming pools are in the gated complex (one is always heated) and each includes a separate hot tub/Jacuzzi and plenty of lounge chairs. Tennis fans will find three well-maintained courts, and golfers who want to play nearby will enjoy the Tahquitz Creek Golf Course, less than half a mile away. Hardcore golfers will find world-class, PGA courses within a very short drive.
A single-level unit, the condo doesn't share interior walls in common with other units, allowing for full privacy in the living space. The community is peaceful and quiet throughout.
The condo is located on Gene Autry Trail, a couple of blocks north of the intersection of Gene Autry and E. Palm Canyon Drive. The gated community is peaceful and quiet, and the location is perfect for a quick trip downtown for dinner or a drive out to Rancho Mirage or Palm Desert for
shopping or golf.
No maid service; we will arrange for a weekly housecleaning service at renter's expense upon request.

A block away from the Parker Meridian Palm Springs resort and its stunning bar and restaurant, the location also features a Von's grocery store and shops in walking distance. Trader Joe's, Target, an IMAX theatre, Knott's Water Park, coffee shops, restaurants, and shopping are all within a mile or two. And Casa de Felicidade is located directly between the nightlife and shopping of downtown Palm Springs, 4 miles to the west, and Rancho Mirage (with its El Paseo, the Rodeo Drive of the desert) and Palm Desert (with the shopping and dining of The River), 6 miles to the east.

Rentals must be for a minimum of 1 month, in accordance with Waverly Park regulations.
December 1 through April 30: $2,250 per month.

Included in rental rates are all taxes and utilities, including local telephone service, basic cable tv, and wireless Internet.
Security deposit = $750 (refundable)
Cleaning fee = $150 (non-refundable)

Cancellation Charge: 60 days prior to occupancy, the cancellation fee is $100.00. After the 60 day period before occupancy, the cancellation fee is $500.00.
Renter must sign an official rental agreement. Until confirmed and deposit received, rates are subject to change without notice.
