Built in 1870, the Manor and its Carriage House/Cottage were lovingly restored in 2001 by the current owners Mike and Suzanne Schulz. Available singly or together as the Taylor Estate, you will find living on this quiet residential street close to famous Forsyth Park, across from the Mother Matilida Park (with its doggie run/baseball diamonds/ footballfields/playground/jogging track) and a 10 min walk from the local grocery store, 5 min from the historic districts' fresh produce stand, and just minutes from all the museums/cafes/restaurants/theatres and shops scattered throughout the landmark downtown historic district of Savannah the perfect way to truly "live" Savannah while you visit it!  You can call to have a local trolley tour come pick you up at the front door of the Manor (for large groups) or ask for a horse-drawn carriage to do so (avail in the cooler months). Hop in your car for the short 20 minute drive to Tybee Beach. Grill steaks or hamburgers in our shady and furnished courtyards . Handicap accessible w/free parking in driveway and onstreet, board games, DVD/Video/Book library. Hypoallergenic w/stone,tile,marble,leather yet still pet friendly! The Carriage House is self-standing,2stories and a home in itself thatl entrances and delights. Tastefully decor w/soft leather furnishings...you'll hate to leave to even tour the historic district that surrounds you on all sides! Small groups, Seniors, or those w/handicap needs may choose just the former Carriage House, renamed our Cottage, that we restored in 2001 using old-time, craftsman-style technique. Seniors/handicapped enjoy its first floor bedroom w/high Queen Bed and full bath with walk-in shower and discretely, elegant grab bars. A shallow,wide stairwell leads to the second floor bedroom suite w/a jetted tub attached bath, Queen Bed and Daybed Twin and Trundle Bed Combination.  It's perfect for cozy, romantic getaways, anniversary, honeymoon celebrations, 2 couple getaways, families, or wedding groups that want groom families in the Cottage and Brides family in the Manor...the possibilities abound! Private parking is available and onstreet parking is plentiful and non-metered.
Occupying "catycorner-adjacent lots", the Carriage House has a
private entrance off East Jones Lane and a small camaflouged access ramp and rear entrance off the spacious, 4 car driveway that lies behind the Manor and adjacent to the Cottage.  The front entrance to Taylor Manor is on East Taylor Street.  Meandering between the two homes via the rear entrances of both is easy and convenient. Yet, the two courtyards remain separate and provide guests the desired privacy that is desirable when rented separately or together. The 2 story, 2BR/2BA Carriage House can sleep as many as six in luxurious comfort.  The mattresses in both homes are high-end and receive constant compliments from our former guests as to the dreamy comfort they experienced. The 4BR/2.5BA Taylor Manor features 3 Queen Bedrooms, each uniquely themed, on the second floor.  The third floor encompasses a roomy attic bedroom with slanted ceilings, built-in dormir windows w/cushioned seats, a cast-iron frame Full Bed, Queen Bed, plus VCR/TV/Nintendo/DiscoBall...just for fun!
