After more than 20 years of sampling the best of what the Gulf Coast of Florida has to offer vacationers, we recently discovered this truly exceptional Gulf of Mexico location: Manasota Key is just off of Englewood, Florida. It is the closest thing we have experienced (after two decades of 
roaming) to a quiet, yet active waterfront resort.

This 2,800 square foot 3 bedroom and 2.5 bath condominium sits on one
of the most enjoyable barrier islands Florida has to offer. It is brand new and we have decorated it in the Florida style. The island is quiet, friendly and a place where you can quickly feel at home. Make new friends and acquaintances or hang out on your secluded beach. On Manasota Key you can safely walk, bike and drive along the main island road without congestion.

Most mornings you will find regular walkers on their way to pick up the
morning paper and maybe a cup of coffee at the local store. A few times a year the island is visited by one of the touring triathlons and as you exit your driveway you will see bicyclists coming by on their way to the next segment of the competition.

The condo is comfortable and will meet any executive family's desires.
The king bed in the master suite, two queens in the second bedroom and two twins in the third bedroom are all brand new. The linens are all cotton. The master bedroom is spacious with its own sliding glass door opening to the lanai and large walk-in closet. The master suite bathroom has two sinks, an oversized bathtub and large walk-in shower and linen closet. The suite can easily be closed off from the rest of the unit for privacy. All three bedrooms are fully furnished with standard dressers and mirrors and the second and third bedroom have large spacious closets. There is also a portable crib and toddler chair. The kitchen is fully equipped including a dinette table, brand new refrigerator, dishwasher, microwave, four-burner range with oven, coffee maker and blender. The dinning room table can easily accommodate ten comfortably when the extension leaf is added.

The large lanai looks out directly on to the Gulf of Mexico. It is equipped with a dining table and chairs and we've included a couple of umbrellas. From this vantage you can see dolphins swim by and pelicans diving for dinner, not to mention the gorgeous sunsets.

The condo has full High Speed Cable Internet Service. A laundry room with a full size washer and dryer are located in the unit. There are three LCD TVs providing Comcast cable TV and VHS and DVD viewing.

Underground parking is available with elevator service to the unit on first floor, or take an easy walk up one flight of stairs.

The 18 condo units spread throughout three buildings share two heated swimming pools and a private tennis court. Gas grills are available for guests.

Manasota Key is well South of Tampa and consequently has warmer air and water temperatures than many locations farther North, both winter and spring. In summer, the trade winds off the Gulf make it so nice you may not need air conditioning to be comfortable. Ocean breezes are a
joyous gift. But if you desire, the condo is fully air conditioned for your comfort.

Englewood, Florida has been rated the 2nd Best Up and Coming US Destination for 2009 by TripAdvisor, a leading travel website. Englewood and Manasota Key offer visitors a wealth of options including boating, jet-skis, sailboards, kayaks, fishing, shelling, swimming, scuba diving, biking,
hiking, golfing and tennis, great shopping and dining, it is all here. The island offers up everything from a pizza parlor to high end dining at the Ocean View restaurant. Enjoy the White Elephant Restaurant and Tiki Bar where you can spend an evening listening to live music or drop by on karaoke night. A five minute drive puts you in the town of Englewood and nearby Englewood Village where you will find many more restaurants and shops to browse. A few minutes north is the town of Venice, a great place to spend a day visiting upscale boutiques and having a light lunch or dinner. For those who are anglers, charter boats are regularly scheduled out of Manasota Key, Englewood, Venice and Placida.

From late April to September you may discover some of the protected
loggerhead turtle nests while walking the beach. The incubation period for the hatchlings is 53 to 55 days in this part of Florida. Lemon Bay, located between the mainland and Manasota Key is home to many uninhabited islands and nature preserves.
