This studio is attached to a family home on Laie Point, a long peninsula sticking out into the bay
about 30 feet above sea level. There is a stairway down to a long, white sandy beach just a few steps
from the home. This is a very private beach with limited public access, so often you will be the only
one on the beach. Very romantic!

The studio has a private exterior entrance to the room. The room has a queen size bed with a night
stand on either side and beaded victorian lamps on each night stand. A full wall closet allows
storage for all of your treasures and gifts you plan to take home for the family and friends. The
room has a full size refrigerater to keep your island fruits and goodies cold. Kitchen cabinets and
counter with microwave, toaster, hot plate, coffee pot, rice cooker, and dishes are there for your
convience. A small round table and one chair sit in the corner of the room. The bathroom has a stall
shower, tile floor, linen closet with beach towels and bath towels, and extra blankets ( although you
probably won't need them with our paradise weather). A private courtyard with umbrella table,
barbacue, and patio provide space for those intimate outdoor dining experiences. Wireless internet
and cable TV.

studio rental amenities

Laie Point is a popular tourist picture spot. Take a stroll to the end of the point early in the
morning to see a very spectacular sunrise, or watch the whales breaching in the winter. There are 5
small islands off the end of the Point with unique shapes and tunnels worn through them from many
years of pounding waves breaking over the tops and crashing into the rocks. In the evening local
fishermen frequent the rocky cliff to catch food for the week, sometimes a fish will weigh 50 pounds
or more. Local boys spear fish off the reef below catching lobster and eel, while others enjoy
throwing their kayak in and going for an evening (or morning) paddle in the bay.

activities and attractions in Laie Oahu

The world famous Polynesian Cultural Center is just a 3 minute drive for the property. The Cultural
Center is right next door to the Brigham Young University Hawaii campus and many students from around
then world work there as dancers, musicians, tour guides, and restaurant workers to pay their way
through college. The Polynesian Cultural Center offers the most authentic south pacific experience in
the islands with villages representing each of the unique polynesian cultures, dress, dance, and
music. Tours start at 12:30 with Luau dinners starting around 5:30 and a very spectacular night show
under the volcano stage at 7pm.

Kualoa Ranch is about 15 minutes south of Laie and is the site of many Hollywood films. Activities
available there are horse back riding through the Koolau Mountains, 4 wheeling, paint ball shooting,
tours of movie sites, picnics, and jet ski rentals.

North of Laie, a 10 minute drive, you will come to the Turtle Bay resort where you can golf, take
Tennis lessons, enjoy indoor and outdoor fine dining, and evening entertainment. The Turtle Bay is a
nice place to snorkel for the less confident swimmer as it is protected by a shallow reef so the
water is pretty calm and the viewing is good. Enjoy a massage while you are there!

5 to 10 minutes further North you will come to the famous Sunset and Pipeline beaches, Sharks Cove (a
popular scuba diving spot), the famous Waimea Bay (home of the Eddie Aiku surf competition requiring
30ft waves or larger), and beyond that The famous surf town of Haliewa.

Many hiking trails can be found along the Koolau Mountains, including behind the Brigham Young
University Campus leading up to Laie Falls.

Tours of the Visitors Center can be enjoyed daily at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saint
temple

Laie shopping center is just down the hill from the studio where you can enjoy a selection of
restaurants such as L&L local food, Taco Bell, Pizza Hut, Angels ice cream parlor, and Subway. The
Food Land grocery store is open until midnight 6 days a week (closed on Sunday). Bank of Hawaii and
American Savings Bank are also located in the shopping center, with American Savings being inside the
grocery store with extended hours.
