vacation rental description
Whether looking to have a romantic getaway for two or a family vacation,
the Little Yellow Cottage is ideal. It is located in
the quaint Goldrush town of Murphys.
The Yellow Cottage is perfectly located. It is on a quiet street,
just a few minute walk from the historic downtown area. Only 100
yards away is quaint town park. The park is complete with a
beautiful gazebo that overlooks the Murphys Creek, a playground for
children, and picnic areas for barbequing. Directly across the
street from the cottage is the Murphys Playhouse Theatre where plays as well
as local musicians can be seen on the weekends.
While sitting on the front porch you can watch the horse-drawn
carriage pass by or you can relax in privacy of the high-fenced,
back yard. The master bedroom has high ceilings and a bay
window which overlooks the front garden. The front bedroom has a
beautiful antique, oak bed which is covered with a colorful quilt,
making the room feel cozy and cheerful. The room overlooks the front
yard and has a bathroom located just around the corner, complete
with a claw-footed bathtub.
From the living room you can see the backyard garden area. It is
centered by an old apple tree covered in ivy. The apple tree shades
the yard in the summertime, making it a perfect area for outside
dining on the back gazebo, and it provides abundant fruit in the
Fall to pick for a homemade apple pie. The kitchen has all the
amenities need for cooking and a small dining area.
You will be pleased with your stay at this cozy country home!
