Vacation Rental Description

Located in Oconee County near the middle of Lake Keowee, Magnolia  
Place is located approximately 8 miles from Seneca.  Magnolia Place  
has a beautiful view of the big water and the mountain ranges. 
 
This 3 level brick home currently features 5 bedrooms on the main  
two floors and additional sleeping space on the basement level.  There 
are 2  
full bathrooms on second floor, 2 on main floor and 1 full bath and one  
half bath plus two shower rooms on the basement level.  On the main  
two levels there are 5 bedrooms and 4 baths with a greatroom,  
kitchen, dining room and the loft entertainment center.  In the  
basement are two sleeping areas, one full bath, one half bath and two  
shower rooms, in addition to the family room, entertainment area and  
billiard room.  Over 5000 feet to spread out and enjoy.  The  
basement level also contains an extra washer and dryer and extra  
refrigerator for your use. 
 
Magnolia Place was built with the vacation renter in mind, designed  
to meet your needs in your home away from home.  Magnolia Place  
currently features over 5000 sq. ft on three floors.   
 
The main floor has an 18 x 24 foot great room, with gas  
fireplace, big screen TV, VCR and DVD and 19 ft ceilings.  French  
Patio Doors lead from the great room to a 10 x 24 foot deck facing  
the lake.  The kitchen and dining room area is 15 x 24 ft with  
Cherry cabinets and solid surfacing (quartz) countertops.  The main  
area of the home features hardwood floors. (24x38- kitchen, dining,  
greatroom.) The master bedroom suite is 16 x 18 with a 6 x 12 walk  
in closet and master bathroom suite 10 x 12 with whirlpool bath,  
shower, double sink and tile floor.  A 10 x 16 foot deck also sits  
on the lakeside of the master bedroom through French patio doors.   
The main level also has two additional bedrooms, bath, and laundry  
room.   
 
The second floor features a loft area complete with an entertainment  
area for the kids with TV, VCR, DVD and room to hook up your game  
system.  Also on the second floor are two bedroom suites off of the  
loft area, complete with private baths.  The basement level has a  
walkout French patio door, with easy access to the boat dock from  
this level.   The basement level has 2 additional sleeping areas, an  
entertainment area, billiard room and family room, including 1 and  
1/2 baths and two separate shower rooms. 
 
At this time. Magnolia Place home will sleep over 17 people,  
depending on your family make-up, but our limit is 17.  (King bed in 
the master,  
queen bed in one main level bedrooms and a futon bed with full size on  
bottom and twin on top in the 3rd bedroom.  Loft bedroom 1 has  
one queen bed and a set of bunkbeds with a full size on bottom and  
twin on top, and loft bedroom 2 features a queen bed, single bed and  
a private bath.  The two loft bedrooms are set up as family  
suites.   Basement bonus bedroom 1 has a queen bed and single and sits  
beside the half bath.  Basement bonus bedroom 2 has a queen bed, and a  
futon with full on bottom and twin on top and a private access to  
the full bath. 
 
A new 3 car garage is available with room for you to park two of  
your cars in the garage, 3 more in front of the garage and  
additional parking behind the house and in the driveway is available  
for your boat trailers.  
 
Your vacation stay at Magnolia Place is complete with a cleaning  
service provided (summer only). Guests are asked to leave the home  
in good condition with the kitchen clean.  Linens and towels are  
available for guests use, but guests are required to launder the  
linens and towels if they use them.  The cleaning service will take  
care of general cleaning, sweeping, mopping, dusting and vacuuming,  
and cleaning the bathrooms.   A linen service is also available if  
requested at an additional fee. 
 
A large covered dock sits in the water, with room for 2 extra boats  
to be tied up.  The swim deck is 12 ft by 32 feet with 8 feet  
uncovered and 4 feet covered for both plenty of sun and shade to  
make everyone happy.  This dock is available to use free of charge  
when you rent Magnolia Place.  It is incidental to the use of the  
house.

Activities and Attractions

Lake Keowee is a wonderful lake for swimming, boating, skiing, scuba  
diving and all general lake activities.  The water is very clean and  
the lake is maintained by Duke Power.  The north end of the lake has  
2 jumping rocks, a rope swing, a waterfall and beach area for  
gathering with others. 
 
The area has many sites to see and explore:  Table Rock State Park,  
Pickens Flea Market (Wednesday mornings), Oconee Nuclear Power  
Plant's World of Energy, and many fine golf courses in Pickens and  
Oconee County.

Vacation Rental Rates

Weekly Rentals (Saturday to Saturday).  Summertime:  Check-in after 
4:00 pm.   
Check-out by 11:00 a.m.  Prices below indicate the cost for renting  
the house only for up to 17 people.  The use of the dock is free. 
  
Summer 2008:  $3100 per week/ Up to 17 people 
              Weekly Reservations only 
 
Fall 2007:  $2400 per week/ 
           $350 per nite/partial weeks 
 
Winter, and Spring $1800/week 
 
Holidays-off-season, Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Years $2400 weekly 
   
- Security deposit is $600.  The security deposit plus $600 of the  
rent is due at reservation.  The balance of the rent is due two  
weeks before you are scheduled to arrive. 
 
- The security deposit will be returned within one week after  
departure if Magnolia Place is left in good condition. 
 
- Monthly rates are available for longer term leases October - April. 
 
 Additional Costs: 
 
-Cleaning fee is only included in the cost of the summer rent.   
$175.00 cleaning fee applies to all dates Sept. through May.   
Guests are also welcome to clean for themselves in the off season. 
 
-A linen service is available for $50.00 for guests who wish to  
leave early and have the linens done by the service. 
 
Cancellation Policy:  Summer weeks are prime rental periods.  These  
weeks are usually booked very far in advance.  When you provide a  
deposit and sign a contract, you are committed to renting that week  
and paying the full rental price.  While you have it reserved, we  
are also turning other people away who might want that same week.   
However, we understand that things happen unexpectedly sometimes.   
If you have to cancel and do so far enough in advance for us to re- 
rent the week, there will be no charge and all deposits paid will be  
refunded (60 days or more).  However, if you cancel less than 60  
days before the rental week, your deposit is forfeited if we are not  
able to re-rent the week.  Less than 30 days and you owe for the  
full rental week, if we are not able to rent the week.  This policy  
applies to summer weeks May-September and Holiday weeks  
(Thanksgiving, Christmas, etc.) 
 
Cancellation policy for off-season is 30 days in advance and all  
deposits are returned.  Less than 30 days, deposits are forfeited if  
we are not able to re-rent the week. 
 
***2008 Special for August.  $2400 a week for Aug. 16 and Aug. 23 
weeks (doesn't include cleaning)
