The Turtle Nest is a lovely family friendly home nestled high amongst the tree tops on tranquil
North Captiva Island, Florida. This island style home features direct access to the unspoiled
beaches of the island and the Gulf of Mexico. The island is accessible only by ferry or private
plane. There are no cars on the island as the mode of transportation is golf cart, bicycle, or
walking! This is a true island get away for you to enjoy with your family, friends and Florida the
way it used to be.
The Turtle Nest is a comfortable four bedroom, three full bath home perfect for one large family or
two smaller ones vacationing together. The house is thoughtfully arranged with two master suites
(one suite known as the "Palm Tree" room, and the other suite known as the "Turtle" room), quaint
living area, fully equipped kitchen, and dining area all situated on the third level. Adjacent to
the third level is the screened "Crow's Nest" and sky deck which offers a great spot for relaxing at
sunset while sipping your favorite cocktail!
The second level is whimsical and very kid friendly decorated in bright colors with a play area
housing ping-pong/pool table, full bathroom and two bedrooms. One bedroom has two twin beds and is
known as the "Fish" room, and the other bedroom has a twin top/full bottom bunk bed affectionately
known as the "Frog" room.
The first level is open with a charcoal barbecue, golf cart parking and charging station, outdoor
shower, and fish cleaning table with sink.
The Turtle Nest offers Direct TV satellite dish, two televisions with DVD/Video players, DVD's and
videos for all ages, CD players, X-Box, Nintendo, board games and books, ping-pong/pool table and
more. Included in the rental of the Turtle Nest is a golf cart and access to the private North
Captiva Island Club. The club features two swimming pools, hot-tub, two har-tru tennis courts,
fitness center, children's playground, pool bar and grill, two restaurants (casual and fine dining),
kayaks, bicycles, beach chairs and beach umbrellas and more. Jet skis and boats are available for
rent or you can arrange a fishing or sight seeing charter. For a little more adventure you can hike
through the 700 acre state land preserve and watch the native birds in their natural habitat, or
glimpse dolphin and manatee at play.
Whether you decide to go hiking, swimming kayaking, shelling, watching the dolphin playing in the
bay or the sun setting over the Gulf of Mexico, one thing is for certain...the Turtle Nest will
offer you a quality family vacation and memories that will last a lifetime!
