and is a stones throw from the metro station, which will take you downtown in ten minutes! We have
quality stores at walking distance (drugstore, grocery store etc...) There are also a large array of
cafes, boutiques and excellent restaurants at an affordable price in the vicinity.
The streets and parks of this friendly and safe neighborhood are worth exploring. You can also visit
Jean-Talon Market (the biggest open-air market in North America) but, beware you may end up spending
more than you intended to! If you need an out of town getaway the highways are just a few minutes
nearby! Our clients agree: Staying at le.saint.gerard is like being home away from home!

What a great stay we had two weeks ago in Montreal! My sister and I stayed for a full week at Le
Saint Gerard. Lucie and her daughters are delightful! And, the apartment is even better than the
pictures! It is so nicely equipped and decorated. You can tell Lucie cares to make it a place you
can call "home" for how ever long you stay - including extra details like handmade mosaics in the
bathroom and original art. The beds are excellent, the kitchen spotless, the sitting room comfy--and
we had enough room for each of us to really have our own space. It would be fantastic for a larger
family, too.
To top it all off, the location is perfect. The apartment is only a block from the metro station,
while still being on a lovely residential street.
This really is a perfect base of a Montreal vacation!

We loved the apartment—it was clean, comfortable and beautifully decorated with the owner’s original
art. We stayed there with a family (two girls 13 and 17 years old) and had enough room for all of
us. Everything worked perfectly in the apartment: kitchen appliances, AC, TV, internet, bathroom,
washing machine, dryer, and dishwasher. Linens provided were of good quality and the owner checked
regularly if everything was in good order. This is a perfect location, one block to the nearest
Metro Station and a 15-minute Metro ride to downtown. It is also one Metro ride to the largest
market in Montreal (Jean-Talon Market)—a wonderful shopping and eating experience. Communication
about renting this place with the owner was fast and easy and she always answered our questions
properly and was very friendly and helpful once we arrived. This was our first visit to Montreal and
we would love to return and stay here again! All in all, a great place to stay.

Villeray district : It is little Italy, Cirque du soleil’s TOHU, Jarry park, its pools, the Uniprix
stadium hosting Roger’s cup international tennis tournament, it is Mosaikashop Mosaic,s school and
supply store) and «le café l’Enchanteur». It also provides a variety of little parks sprinkled here
and there for the greatest joy of the little ones!
In Little Italy you’ll find the famous Jean Talon Market (biggest outdoor market in north America)
where you can get local and international gourmet products. (warning to gourmets: you may end up
spending a lot more than you intended to!) Harbouring different cultures, it is a warm and friendly
neigborhood nesting friendly cafés, trattorias, local and international cuisine restaurants and
boutiques ; actually a great number of quality stores contribute to make of Villeray a good place to
live in.
The cycling path runs through Villeray district, on Christophe colomb and Boyer streets. it is
called the : route verte number 1, at this level. It is part of Montreal’s 100km of cycling paths! A
paradise for urban cycling!
