vacation rental description
We have several choices:
the large, luxury apartment, the small apartment or the Edam apartment. The large and small apartment are part of an old house, the large apartment is a wooden 'kaakberg',
a old building used for hay, but now changed into a comfortable
apartment with two floors, spacious and tasteful.
Both apartments are beautifully located in the countryside near Edam,
an old "cheese"town, only about 15 miles from Amsterdam. Both
apartments have beautiful views and the large apartment has a full
view over the lake.These are all non smoking apartments.
Please read the(independant) reviews on our website to decide which
one you prefer. This is a great place to stay for everyone who likes to be
in the countryside and at the same time near Amsterdam and many other
interesting places in Holland. The Edam apartment is in the historical city of Edam and is only rented by week. Please inquire about rates and availability.

Everything you need is there in the apartment with lots of extra's at
no costs. When you come home from a city trip you can relax in this
quiet, breathtaking environment with all the luxury you wish for.
Ideal for a vacation and to explore the Netherlands.
We have a sauna room with a resting space, an outdoor spa. You can
use the computer or use your own laptop with wireless.
There is a laundry room with waher and dryer.Parking is available ( a
car is recommended, because the nearest public transportation is 3
miles).
We have bikes for the guests to use.
activities and attractions in Amsterdam Netherlands
There is a little beach, over the dike where you can sunbath or swim
in the lake in the summer. You can take a basket over the dike and
have a pick nick or barbeque there.
This is a very beautiful place for a honeymoon, a wedding
anniversary, for writing, for reading a good book (books available
too in different languages!), but if you like to be more active:
there are lots of opportunities to explore the countryside by foot,
bicycle or by car. It is a great place for bird watching and if you
like horses you can watch the neighbor training his horses at sunset.
Besides Edam and Amsterdam there are lots of interesting places
nearby, like all the historical fisherman's places around the lake,
Volendam, Hoorn, Enkhuizen etc. You can make daytrips to the North
Sea, to the bulb fields or Keukenhof to see the tulips in full bloom
(April). The area is very safe and we have a place to park your car.
The owners are good hosts, who can give you lots of ideas for
daytrips, restaurants, cultural and historical interesting
places to visit, shows and performances etc.
vacation rental rates
The rates go from 125 Euro a night (2 persons small apartment) to
225 Euro a night (4 persons large apartment in high season).
The only thing that is added is tourist tax: 1, 04 per person per
night and cleaning costs (40-60 Euro.
The rate for the Edam apartment is 600 a week + tourist tax and cleaning costs.
We do have a minimum of three nights.
