This house was built in 1910 and remodeled in 2006.
The house has approx. 2,600 sq. ft. (+ or -)

It has 14 ft. ceilings, a gorgeous chandelier, crown molding, anitque wallnut floors, granite counter tops, an enclosed balcony on the 2nd floor with 24 windows and a view of downtown.

Enjoy a glass of wine on the 2nd floor balcony and watch the sun set.

This 2 story vacation house sits on top of the hill on the corner of E. 9th Street and San Marcos Street. The left side of the house is located on E.9th Street and the front of the house faces San Marcos STREET.

Don't get confused! The house address is 815 San Marcos Street and it is here in Austin.
FYI...There is a small town up the road named San Marcos and many have mistaken the street address and the city.

WALK ANYWHERE:

Famous 6th Street walk 4.5 minutes, Resturants are only 2 blocks away on E. 11th. Begin with Blue Dahlia Bristro. Dine inside or outside and enjoy a tartine with a cup of soup or better yet a Porcini Ravioli. You will find the most amazing food that is tasty and healthy too!

Walk across the street from this "Fabulous House" and tour the French Legation Museum or walk two blocks on E. 9th and see the State of Texas Cemetary.

Tour the State Capital, the Unitversity of Texas,
stop in the Bob Bullock Museum and listen to the "Story of Texas."

Right around the corner from your vacation house is the Uncorked Tasting Room/Wine Bar on E. 7th and only a skip and a jump will land you in the center of the Live Music Capital of the World and Austin's famous 6th Street


In the evenings stay home and relax. If you sit on the deck or the front porch you can hear the music from the French Legation Museum. Many evenings concerts are held there. The French Legation Museum grounds are a park like setting with green grass, rolling hills and oak trees. Go join the fun! Simply grab a blanket and head over there, listen to the music and take in a breath of
Austin.
