Just one hour north San Francisco, this spacious wine country estate offers a pool,
tennis/basketball
court, a beautiful and well-maintained garden, a very large lawn, and a view of Sugar Loaf
Mountain.

It is set on 2.5 acres off Highway 12 in Kenwood between the Landmark and Chateau St.
Jean Wineries.

There are three bedrooms (including a large master suite) and 2.5 baths, ideal for a
vacation or
weekend escape to wine country in summer or winter. It would also be a very comfortable
house for a
longer-term rental.

The large master suite has a king sized bed as well as an extra twin daybed and a master
bath with
spa tub and large tiled shower. The second bedroom has one queen bed and the third
bedroom has two
twin beds. The house can comfortably sleep 6 adults. There are TVs in the Living room,
sun room, and
master bedroom and wireless internet access. Please note that the pool is not heated.
There are weights, ball and a bench in the garage for working out.

The estate is powered by a state-of-the-art solar electrical system with large panels that
track with
the bountiful sun. If you are lucky to be there after a hard rain in the winter, a dry creek
flows
through a beautifully sculptured, rock-lined creek bed. Elsewhere, a wooden bench sits
under a grove
of redwoods for shady, quiet contemplation.

The gourmet kitchen has an electric stove, granite counters, dishwasher, garbage
disposal, and plenty
of counter space. The kitchen, sun room, and dining room create one large great room
featuring
Brazilian slate flooring and the space works very well for entertaining. There are also
multiple
seating/dining areas including a large dining table that looks out onto the grounds, so
the space is
very flexible.

Alongside a mountain of firewood, a mini-Stonehenge of rocks encircles a fire pit for cool
evenings
outside. Adobe State Park is just up the road for hikers, bikers or a nice drive.


Pets are negotiable.

There are many wineries nearby and restaurants within walking distance. Both downtown
Sonoma and Santa
Rosa are within a twenty-minute drive and have wonderful restaurants, farmers markets,
movies and
shopping. Glen Ellen, with its many delicious restaurants and village shops, is 10 minutes
away by car.
There is also bus service.

Other activities are also available with a 40 minute drive to Napa (hot air ballooning, for
example)
along with more wineries and restaurants.

Rates:

Nightly $650 with a 2-night minimum
Weekly $3,800 ($5200 summer)
1 Month $5990 winter ($17,000 summer)

Monthly Rental (2 months or longer) - $4,990/month in winter or negotiable

There is a $1,000 refundable security deposit required for short-term rentals and a
larger one for
longer-term rentals.

Cleaning fee is $160.
