From the Owners: After nine years of visiting Akumal we were finally able to purchase our own villa,
San Francisco. It is our "home away from home" and when the going gets tough back in the world, we
dream of our own spot in Paradise on the beaches of the Mayan Riviera. What could be more perfect?
Swim or snorkel in crystal clear waters just outside the back door. Or, if it is your preference,
take a dip in the fresh water pool. Still too much effort? A siesta in the hammock on the veranda
might be just what you need. We love our place in the sun and would like to share it with you!
It's warm and inviting and feels like a home you've been invited to visit. Gorgeous colors and
furnishings, a magnificent ocean, white sand beach, privacy and a fabulous swimming pool. What more
could you want in a luxury villa?
Casa San Francisco is located on the ocean in South Akumal Bay with other luxury villas as
neighbors. Restaurants and shopping are available just two miles away in Akumal. The snorkeling and
swimming is fabulous and the tranquility is beyond compare.
The villa has four large beautiful bedrooms, five bathrooms, and also a guesthouse with another
bedroom and full bath. There are high ceilings and ceiling fans throughout, as well as central air
conditioning if you are so inclined.....not to mention the swimming pool for a cool relaxing dip!
The villa also has a beautiful living room, two stupendous domed brick ceilings, incredible hand
painted Talaverra tile in all of the bathrooms, a charming dining room, fully equipped kitchen and
an observatory on the roof to enjoy sunrise, sunset or gazing at the stars. There are many
balconies, terraces, a fountain, flowers blooming and palm trees swaying... all of which give it a
truly Spanish "hacienda on the ocean" feeling.

Along the coast of the Mexican Caribbean, you will find some of the most stunning beaches in the
world, where you can either relax under a palm tree with a good book or take advantage of the
variety of watersports on offer. Divers come to this area for the wonderful ocean scuba diving as
well as cenote, cavern and cave diving. Fishing enthusiasts rave about the Mayan Riviera's deep sea
fishing just off shore and others prefer to charter a boat or go sailing.
The Yucatan Peninsula is also incredibly rich in culture and sightseeing spots. Make sure to plan a
tour to one of the many magical historical sites in the area; from colorful colonial towns to
breathtaking Maya Ruins, the region has much to offer the intrepid traveler.
The Peninsula is also a paradise for the nature and ecology lover. About half Mexico's bird species
can be found in the region and there are fabulous tours available for bird watching. During the
summer months, do not miss the chance to see sea turtles nesting on our beaches or to swim with
whale sharks, as these gentle giants hide North to breed near Holbox Island.
If relaxation, health and fitness are your thing, we suggest you check out some of the local spas
and gyms. Or how about some shopping while the others in your group indulge in a round or game of
golf or tennis. We recommend everyone try several of the fantastic restaurants and bars in the area.
