Spend your days enjoying all of the activities the Carlsbad lagoon has to offer including fishing, kayaking, jet skiing, boating and wake boarding. For a more relaxing day, you can spend the day sitting out by the private pool in the southern California sunshine and enjoy the spectacular lagoon and ocean views.  Enjoy a sunset barbecue with friends and family and then end the day with a dip in the outdoor Jacuzzi tub or the indoor steam room!

The house is the perfect vacation home for a large family, a group of friends, or even 2 or 3 small families sharing a vacation together.  The house consists of 3 stories, with the master bedroom, living room, entertainment room, and kitchen all on the first level.  The kitchen is loaded with everything you will need and fully equipped with professional appliances.  The living room is furnished with two over sized leather couches, a 61" HD flat screen TV complete with cable, blue ray DVD player, and a full entertainment center. The water view master bedroom has a king sized bed and a full bathroom complete with a private steam room.  The remaining bedrooms are located on the two stories below and all have queen beds, individual balconies with spectacular water views, and private bathrooms. Additional amenities include WIFI (high speed wireless internet), washer/dryer, and off street parking for 5 cars.

Great family home but a few minor problems with property mangement team and some appliances.

We stayed for 8 days and the house accommodated us very well. The pool and hot tub were great but it was not heated until 24 hours after check in.. Besides the pool problem we paid for 2 bassinets and had only one and the garbage was full.(we ended up pulling it to the curve ourselves) We called the number given and we got a voice mail and did not receive a call back until the next day when I call the office.
The kitchen was incredible but all the small appliances
were not working or only partially working. The kitchen also lacked in cutlery ie: spoons
All the bedrooms were set up well and had good beds.Having 5 full baths was great. The living room furniture was soft and very low to the ground not good for the 50+ crowd.

I have rented several times from VROB and this house was the best in size and amenities but it needs to maintain what is there or replace it.

Recommended for: families with young children, families with teenagers, girls getaway, sight seeing

Owners response: We appreciate this guest bringing these items to our attention and have replaced the non functioning appliance in the kitchen as well as purchased new kitchen items such as utensils and necessary cutlery. Absolutely Wonderful

We stayed at this beautiful home from 2/16 - 2/23/12, together with one other family. Each of us has three kids, all 5 and under, and it could not have been better. We were admittedly apprehensive at the start of the reservation - the rental property had received some questionable reviews and there was some delay in the communication at the start. But once the ball got rolling, the house manager, Michael, was super helpful - he answered text messages about little details and insured everything was perfectly prepared for us upon our arrival, and responded to all of our requests once we got there immediately. The pictures of this house do not do it justice - there is a little beach that is perfect for kids right on the water, and a porch that overlooks the lagoon right above it. There is also a really cool gas fire pit, and, for $425 more, we had the pool heated to a balmy 85 degrees (although one of our kids shut off the gas connection, meaning that we missed out on a day or two of warm pool), but the heated pool was a real blessing on the cooler days. The master bedroom shower is like something out of a homes of the rich and famous shows- with 5 shower nozzles spraying from all sides. There were a few little issues - the house heat is locked at 65 degrees, and there were some colder nights where it would have been nice to change the setting. Also when the heat did go on, one of the lower bedroom vents had a really loud rattle that kept our kids up one night. But these are very minor compared to what this place has to offer - the mammoth kitchen with high end, 6 burner stove, the view from every room, the pool, the lemon treel, the decor, the bar, the uber comfy master bedroom bed, the responsiveness of the house manager to all of our needs (he even mailed an item we had left behind), just about everything contributed to a great family vacation in a very convenient location.

We loved every minute!

We had a wonderful stay in this home and we loved every minute of the week we were there. The place was so spacious. There were 12 of us, 6 adult and 6 kids and we never felt "on top" of each other. The kids enjoyed the pool and the hot tub daily and the adults appreciated enough bedrooms with closed doors for some privacy! There was more than enough room for everyone to sleep comfortably and that was so nice. The kitchen was well stocked and there were plenty of towels in the bathrooms and towels for the beach. The view was awesome and the kids absolutely loved the lagoon as well. We had breakfast outside on the patio each morning just enjoying the view and the weather. We would love to come back with some friends in the future. Thanks again for a smooth week and all the house had to offer! We did not go without!

Recommended for: adventure seekers, age 55+, families with young children, families with teenagers, girls getaway, pet-friendly, sight seeing, tourists without a car, romantic getaway
