'Genesis' a Smoky Mountain Chalet overlooking the River in Townsend

Come, sit a spell and let me share with you the uniqueness of "Genesis," my own private escape. This
cabin, completed in 2001, is a three story, authentic log cabin chalet, with over 2000 square feet,
overlooking the river, just waiting to pamper you. Step in the front door and your attention is
immediately drawn to the tall cathedral ceilings, allowing you to enjoy the warm woodlands outside
the two-story, glass wall in back! Spacious seating arrangements are here, and all of the Broyhill
seats will recline for your comfort! Here is a 64" big screen TV with cable/VCR/DVD, an Englander
wood stove, champagne-colored ceramic tile, ceiling fans, and the main conversation piece is the
hand-hewn staircase cut from locally fallen timbers. Built as a personal residence with the few
extra touches, we've decided to share it with you!

Sleeping arrangements include a king bed on the main floor, a queen and a full futon in each of the
two bedrooms upstairs, and a sleep loft in the middle with a twin over a full bunk. One full bath
on the upper level with a most unique shower/bath in the master. We have added another twin over
full bunk in the gameroom and since it has its own shower/bath, we call it a bedroom as
well. 'Genesis' will comfortably sleep 10, but can accommodate up to 16 if you get real cozy.

Wander out into the woodlands and onto the river bluff to the six-person hot tub on a winding,
custom-built deck. You're close enough to listen to the river as you marvel at the stars and soak
away all your cares.....ahhhhh! You are going to love being nestled in the woodlands right outside
the Great Smoky Mountain National Park. In fact, you can hike just a few yards down your private-
dead end road and step across the Park boundary! The screened-in porch includes a gas grill and
table for outdoor dining, and the laundry room boasts Maytag appliances!

Gather 'round the fire ring to roast marshmallows, sing a few tunes and get re-aquainted under a
starry Smokey Mountain night. Or if you choose to merge with the bustle, travel scenic Wears Valley
road over to Gatlinburg, Dollywood, Dixie Stampede, Pigeon Forge and all the entertainment you can
imagine! Beautiful historic Cades Cove is only 7 miles away! One of the newest and most talked
about attractions in Townsend is the Great Smoky Mountain Heritage Center where you can spend a day
and learn the history of the Smokies. Just ask when you book and I'll give you free tickets to take
the exciting tour! Winter's quickly approaching and what a better place to spend it than the
popular 'Ober Gatlinburg' ski resort only 20 scenic miles away! Play like a squirrel ... go out for
the treats, then resort back to your comfortable abode on the 'Peaceful Side of the Smokies.'
