Captain Ron's Tropical Vacation Hideaway in Big Pine Key

This stilt home is on a boating canal just five minutes at idle speed from Boggie Chanel, with
imediate access to the Atlantic or the Gulf of Mexico.
The home is decorated to give you a resort feeling, with tropical and nautical style decorations
and nautical signage to designate areas.
Smoking is allowed on the porch, deck and grounds. No smoking in the house please.
The area is quiet and relaxing. Key Deer roam through the property. These deer are miniature
copies of the deer one might find in the woods of North Carolina. They are protected and very
docile. Their favorite food seems to be the plants and flowers of the homes in the neghiborhood.
In the nearby woods there are Iguana's that take a walk down the seawall each day. The largest at
present is about five feet long. Bring your camera.
The home has central air conditioning and heating and ceiling fans.

FREE boat launch.      Home is completely furnished. Approximately 1,000 square feet of living space.  Central Air Conditioning. Ceiling fans, in each bedroom, and living room.   Cable T V with separate receivers in each bedroom and living room.   D V D player in living room.  Cleaning maintained to hotel standards.   Master Bedroom;   1 queen bed, tropically decorated, with dresser, and chest. Master bedroom has a half bath.

Second Bedroom;
2 twin beds, nautically decorated, with armoire. Closets in both bedrooms.
Bed Linens are supplied for both bedrooms with a second set for changes.
Main Bath;   A whirlpool tub, and a separate shower, initial soap and tissue supplied for both baths.   Beach towels and bath towels are supplied.
Kitchen;   Start up scrubber pad, dishwasher detergent, and dish soap and paper towels supplied.   Kitchen has a dishwasher, range, microwave, refrigerator, toaster, blender, mixer, dishes, pots and  pans, utensils and flatware.

Living room;
Love seat and sofa, cocktail table T V, end table, lamp, and curio cabinet.
Dinning Area;  Table with 4 chairs and standing curio cabinet.
Laundry;   Start up detergent supplied. Has washer and dryer.
Seawall; 50-foot long on a 30-foot wide, 9-foot deep canal, easily acommodating a 20-foot boat.   Dock pilings for hull protection, ¼ mile from open water, 5 minutes at idle speed. Fish cleaning  station. Bait freezer.
Open sun deck, with umbrella, table, and 4 chairs, accent lighting and tiki torches.

Fully screened porch, overlooking canal. Shaded sitting area under porch with table and chairs.   2  chaise lounges for sun bathing. Gas Bar B Q, propane supplied.   Free; Day pass for Bahia Honda State Beach. Outside shower, for getting the salt water and sand  off before going inside.

This section of Big Pine Key is quiet and made for relaxing. I get comments on how quiet it can be.
In addition to "standard" vacations, This home has hosted wedding parties and to date three  honeymoon couples.   ROMANTIC
Children (and some adults) like to brightly paint lobster trap floats (I provide floats and paint).
The artistic efforts of past visitors are displayed around the property. You may display your art
or take it with you when you depart.
However, if you like fishing, boating, water sports, etc. you are in the right place. Bait, tackle,
gas, etc. are available at the Old Wooden Bridge Marina, accessable by boat or street.
If you like great restaurants and night life, Key West is just minutes away. Check out the
activities listed at the house.
The world famous "No Name Pub" is just five streets away. Bring a few extra one dollar bills to decorate the walls and ceiling there. The current estimate of hanging dollar bills is 40 to 50
thousand. Take your guess while waiting for the best Pizza in the keys.
On the next Key is a waterfront restaurant called "Parrotdise". This second floor eatery overlooks  pine chanel and Big Pine Key. A table by the east facing large windows is a must during the rise of the full moon.

Standard weekly rate is $1200 and special event weeks are $1600. Add 11.5 % tax and cleaning fee at $100. Monthly rate is $2500.
Rates include Utilities, Free high speed wireless, Kayak use, day pass at Bahia Honda State beach.
I maintain a first come first served policy. Don't be disapointed, book your reservations early.
All rates require a refundable $300 reservation deposit. This deposit secures your reservation and is refunded within 15 days of departure.
Weekly rates are sometimes negotiable depending on the season and conditions.
