The place to go to get away from it all....Situated in the renowned
Methow Valley (foothills of the North Cascade Mountains), this
private retreat is nestled in a secluded basin all its own, at the
end of the road. The property's 160 acres is surrounded by thousands
of acres of National Forest wildlands, with the nearest private property
over a mile away. The meadow in the photos is bigger than it looks -
it's about a half-mile long.
The three bedroom Lodge features a charming, rustic wood interior with
a handsome rock fireplace. It has been recently remodeled, adding a
radiant heat floor and beautiful bamboo flooring. The cathedral ceiling
and skylights in the 800 square foot living room provide an inspiring
atmosphere for rest and renewal. There is ample space for family and
friends, but it is also a cozy setting for a quiet romantic get-away. There
are another six bedrooms with twin beds (can be pushed together to make king-size) in the new passive-solar Bermhouse. We only rent to one group at a time, so you always have the whole place to yourself!
In the winter we have about 10km of groomed ski trails winding
through the property, with several slopes to choose from for back-county skiing, snowboarding or sledding.
Spring, summer and fall have their own attractions -such as a blanket
of wildflowers covering the land, or the joy of swimming in cool,
clear mountain waters. There are a variety of hikes right from the
door of the lodge, taking in views of the Methow Valley, old-growth
ponderosa pine trees and snow capped peaks. Or sit by the seasonal creek, flowing down from Lookout Mountain into a pristine pool.
The wood-fired sauna offers a great way to recover from a day of
playing, whether it's hiking, biking or skiing.
We also have a couple of tents, one 15x15 (seats 25 people), the
other 2000 sq feet (seats 200), for additional space in summer. It's
a perfect place for a picturesque wedding, or a fun-filled family reunion.
Our guests appreciate the silence this property has to offer. They
say that although many places say they offer seclusion, this is the
only place that really delivers. We have also been told that the photos
don't really capture the place, it usually exceeds peoples' expectations!
We now have wireless internet access, so you can stay connected even in the middle of nowhere!
Note: Caretakers live on the property, around the corner from the main house. They
are well-practice at being invisible, and their objective is that you have a very quiet
and peaceful stay!

stunning 360 degree views of the Sawtooths and Columbia Plateau.
Other hikes take in one of several natural springs in the valley, wander
