THE AREA:

Ocean Beach is a CENTRALLY LOCATED community of San Diego. It's just south of the Mission Bay channel entrance. The public beach is about a mile long with a volleyball area near the north end. The PIER is located at the south end of the beach and is available for walking and FISHING. Numerous restaurants, surf shops, ANTIQUE SHOPS, and
other commercial establishments are available near the south end of the beach. The north end of the beach is primarialy residential. One unique feature of Ocean Beach is
DOG BEACH, a beach area at the north end. This is a dog run area where dogs are permitted off-leash at all hours of every day. OB is a TEN-MINUTE DRIVE to Mission Valley SHOPPING malls, SEA WORLD, Balboa Park, San Diego ZOO, Old Towne, DOWNTOWN San Diego, Seaport Village, Petco Park, Qualcomm Stadium, and the main AIRPORT. It's 20 minutes to the Tiajuana border and 30 minutes to Legoland, the Wild Animal Park and several casinos. It is one of the last ORIGINAL SOUTHERN CALIFORNA BEACH TOWNS.

Ocean Beach as a community is very dog-friendly.  There are even some outdoor dining establishments that allow your dog to lie at your feet while you dine.  And there are some dog-centric events such as the annual "weiner-dog" races on Dog Beach.  There's a Farmer's Market every Wednesday afternoon and lots of community events such as kite-flying in March, christmas parade, beach-blanket bingo,and sand castles after Thanksgiving, etc..

THE UNIT:

This comfortable, CENTRALLY LOCATED, beach unit (entire bottom floor of duplex) has been completely renovated (and dog-proofed) with new stainless steel kitchen, Italian-tile
floors, marbelized bathroom, and patio. GO OUT BACK GATE ONTO DOG BEACH for off-leash stroll with your pooch (any breed)24/7; enjoy the Snowy Egrets, pelicans, ducks, and
sandpipers in the estuary; meander along the bike path for other BIRD WATCHING or use the two on-site BIKES; a two-minute walk West along the bike path to the public (no-dog) beach and SURFING, boogie boarding(four on site), or just watch the surf crash on the rocks. Walk two minutes East to the new skate-board park and wild-life viewing. STREET FAIR every Wednesday. The main shopping area of "OB" (Ocean Beach) is within walking distance, including ANTIQUE ROW. So is FISHING off the OB pier or SURFING alongside it. RESTAURANTS range from the quick-and-cheap to on-the-waterfront pricey. There are many nightspots. Don't miss this last-of-the-original beach towns.

Linens provided: We will provide linens and bath towels at the beginning of your stay, as well as starter products(TP, paper towels, dish-washing soap,.) If your stay exceeds one week, we will provide fresh linens and towels at the beginning of each succeeding week.  No housekeeping services provided. Covered Parking for one car; or one SUV ok but a tight fit.  Beds: Queen, Twin/Single Bed(2), Convertible Bed: Double bed size. Crib: PlaySchool available. CableTV: Built in VCR/CD. Video Library: some tapes/cd's. Full kitchen with all cooking utensils provided, refrigerator, dishwasher, microwave, blender, coffee grinder and coffee pot, electric BBQ Deck/Patio/Fenced yard shared with upstairs unit. Beachfront: Unit is ground floor; Backyard is fenced so view is limited.  But direct access to beach.  Go out back gate, up small levee, and down onto beach.  There are no other properties between this property and the ocean.  See photo and video.
