Quiet summer riverfront cottage w/ dock. Centrally located on
midcoast Maine (1hr beyond Portland, 1/2hr to Boothbay Hbr + Camden,
2hr to Acadia). Western exposure. 0.5mi from downtown Damariscotta
by water, 1.5 mi by road. Fabulous scenery all around including bald
eagles, osprey, blue heron, seals right in front of you. Attractions:
beaches (Popham, Pemaquid, lakes), islands (Monhegan), light houses
(Pemaquid), etc. Artist's heaven, hiking in many nature preserves,
fisherman's paradise, swimming in warm water of the estuary at mid
tide and higher (9 ft tide!). Opportunity to rent kayaks in town,
bring canoe, sailboat or motorboat, bring bicycles. Famous oysters
and, of course, lobsters, farmer's mkt twice/wk. Central gas stove
for heat. Direct TV/DVD, stereo. wifi. Pets at discretion of
owner. No Smoking.
