activities and attractions in Bahia Kino Northern Mexico
Beach walking, shell gathering, swimming, hiking, kayaking, snorkeling, general rest and relaxation!
We are on site, as this apartment is attached to our permanent home; so we are available to answer
questions, help you learn about the community, and address any particular needs you might have.
Kino is a very quiet, low-key place. One should not expect to find discos, bars, or glitzy shops.
There is plenty of opportunity to purchase good craft items at shops in the fishing village of Old
Kino and from vendors along the beach and main street. Seri Indians come by frequently with their
collector-quality, fine baskets, stone carvings, and shell/bead/bone/seed necklaces. They love to
trade (reduce their prices) for good quality clothing, toys, and household items; so consider
cleaning out your closet before you come!
There are three Automatic Teller Machines in Kino where you can get cash at a good exchange rate.
