Casa Amapola in Granada

Casa Amapola, a quaint but adorable home in Granada combines a blend of old and new. It is
affectionately named after the flower my mother always wears in her hair, the hibiscus. Built back
in the day, Casa Amapola was renovated in August of 2008. Casa Amapola has all you need for your
vacation to the Colonial City of Granada. Located just four blocks from the Central Park and 2
blocks from the “Blue Church,” Iglesia San Francisco, you are walking distance to everything.

The home was decorated by an Interior designer with treasures from Granada and the surrounding
areas. The Master bedroom has a queen bed which was crafted by a master carpenter in Granada. There
are two bedside antique tables from homes of Granada’s past. The twin beds in the extra bedroom are
wrought iron works from the Colonial city of Leon. The pictures adorning the walls are of Granada
churches from a local painter in Masaya. The comfortable “sala,” living room, is perfect for
conversation nestled around an old wood coffee sorter made into a table. The beautiful antique doors
that embellish the wall are for your visual enjoyment as are the traditional vaulted cane ceiling.

The Kitchen is fully equipped with an oven with cook top, microwave and refrigerator. Your dishes
and utensils are stored in the buffetera, an antique from the countryside in the north that a
husband handcrafted and painted for his wife.

Casa Amapola is fully air-conditioned, has hot water, water storage tank and a pump. There is a TV
in the Master bedroom and a washer/dryer combo in the one car garage. Enjoy the garden from the
entry patio while you listen to the local music.

Rental rates are $450.00 per week regular season; a deposit is required to hold with full payment
prior to arrival. Daily rates are $75.00 per day with a 3 day minimum. A maximum of 4 people is
accepted. Monthly and long term rates are available upon request. Once you arrive in Granada you
will meet with the property manager for information and keys.
