Acadia Explorer Cabin Rental in Southwest Harbor

This log cabin is perfect for that romantic getaway for two or for a
small family wanting to get back to nature. The cabin, built in
2000, measures 16 x 20 and features an L shaped room with a
separate bathroom and a screened in deck. It is nestled in a wooded
area, within 300 feet from the owners residence and the nearest
neighbors and only 3 miles to the center of Southwest Harbor. With
private access to hiking and bicycling trails using your own entrance
to Acadia National Park right outside the front door. The cabin
sleeps 4 people. There is a queen size bed and a fold out futon couch/bed combo. The efficiency type kitchen is designed for those who like to travel
light. It features a dorm style fridge, cook top stove with fume
hood, coffee maker, microwave and a table with 4 chairs. And new
features, a stackable washer/dryer and dishes. The cabin has a bathroom with a shower. The whole cabin is heated and cozy for those cool Maine
nights. It has hot and cold water, electricity and Satellite TV. There are 2 chairs and table on the screened-in deck. Outside features a screened-in tent with a
small picnic table, a full size BBQ gas grill in a spacious yard with a
patio bonfire pit for those relaxing evenings toasting marshmallows
and star gazing. Cabin is non-smoking and not handicapped accessible. Sorry no pets.

Owners supply bath towels, hand towels and face clothes.
Plates, bowls, spoons, forks, knives, cups, toilet paper and paper
towels are supplied by the owners. Cooking supplies (pots and pans
and utensils) are also supplied by the owners. Renters will need to
bring their own blankets,pillows or sleeping bags.

The cabin is nestled at the base of Mansell Mountain on the Quiet
Side of the Island with miles of hiking and biking trails out the
front door. Within a short driving distance there are water
activities including, swimming, snorkeling, deep sea and fresh water
fishing, canoeing, kayaking, and boat rentals. There are also other
recreations such as golf, tennis, horseback riding, whale watching
cruises, glider rides, Park guided tours, bird watching, lighthouse
tours and galleries within a short driving distance.

Walking and biking from your front door brings you to thousands of
acres of beauty in Acadia National Park. The village of Southwest
Harbor, only a short 3 mile drive away, offers all of the services
you need for you trip. Larger shopping areas are located 30 minutes
away, off the Island.
