The Oviedo House is a St. Augustine Vacation Home offering convenient lodging close to Historic
downtown St. Augustine, Flagler College and more!  With the addition of the Dakota Suite and the West Wing, Oviedo House can be comfortable for 2 to 18 people.  Rates listed are for the main house only which sleeps 10 comfortably.  The Dakota Suite and West Wing can be added at an additional charge.
The house was built around 1910 as a rooming house for nurses of the Florida East Coast Hospital and is located two blocks from Flagler College, six blocks from Historic downtown St. Augustine and just a few miles from great shopping and the beach.  It has been completely remodeled with care to offer
new amenities yet keep all its original charm!
The Oviedo House is the best St. Augustine vacation rental for medium sized groups near all of St.

Great for families & exploring historic district

We came to St Augustine for my son's graduation from Flagler and needed space for a lot of family and friends. We had two families; both with adult married children, adult children and two 9 month olds. There was plenty of room in the main house for all. The house has that homey feel like you are just staying at a favorite grandmother’s instead of actually renting. Kitty, the property owner, provided an extra pack n play for us so my daughter didn't have to bring either of hers. Terry, the onsite manager was readily available and checked with us as our family trickled in throughout the week to see if we needed anything additional.

The front porch is full of chairs and rockers and great for sitting. My son loved sitting there because the street is traveled by students walking over from dorms and I think he always had someone walking up and sitting to talk. In the evenings his friends came over to sit on the front porch too. I didn’t realize how popular a front porch could be to the college age.

The kitchen is well stocked. I fed groups of college students who came for supper every night and was also able to have a graduation party with a hot dog bar without having to purchase anything but food and paper plates. A total of about 40 people came through during the afternoon and not at anytime were we crowded. It was even raining outside so we were confined to the house and porch.

The location is fantastic! It is a nice walk to the historic area and there are plenty of bikes provided for riding too. There are even a couple of trolley stops within about a block from the house. The public beach on Anastasia Island is about a 10 minute drive.

I left trying to think of an excuse to book the house again even if I don’t have a large party to house!

Recommended for: families with young children, families with teenagers, girls getaway, sight seeing, tourists without a car

Family Wedding

We rented the house for family members to stay to attend a wedding in St. Augustine, and it worked out perfectly for us. We found the home clean, well stocked with linens, towels, and other supplies. We loved the neighborhood, and were able to walk to many locations for sightseeing, restaurants, activities, etc., which was very handy. It was great to have everyone gather in the main house for breakfast, an occasional meal, and games at night. Having computers available was beneficial also. We stayed for five nights, and a good time was had by all. With the washer and dryer so handy, we were happy to do a few loads of towels and linens before we left to help staff get ready for the next guests. Thank you for a wonderful stay!

Recommended for: adventure seekers, age 55+, families with young children, families with teenagers, girls getaway, sight seeing, tourists without a car, romantic getaway

Great home and location

This home is in a great location. A few blocks away from all the sights in a quiet and quiant street. The owners were very helpful and attentive. Like all the reviews say, it is well stocked with plenty of linen and towels. Great for several families to gather in the kitchen/den area and the porch outside with rocking chairs to sit around and share some good times.
