We stayed in this condo for 5 nights - 3 couples. All we needed or wanted had been anticipated by the owner. All the beach gear, beautiful decor, fully stocked kitchen, top quality bedding and bath supplies were there for our enjoyment. A minor repair to the dishwasher was handled by the owner within 24 hours - long distance. At the pool, while we were barbecuing, we met an owner who gave us good advice about local eateries, golf, and snorkeling secrets. The advice about getting the Foodland discount card was excellent advice - we saved $50 in one trip. All the advance information sent to us by the owner was accurate, timely and easy to understand. The library of books, videos etc, were welcome, and the travel guides were much appreciated. We have only praise for this gracious, comfortable home away.

Memorable Vacation!

Our group included three couples and we could not have found a better place to stay than this villa. Each couple had their own comfortable room and bathroom. The rooms are very comfortable; I haven't slept on a bed this comfortable in any hotel I have ever stayed in and the linens were of quality and cleanliness. The kitchen is fully equipped with all the amenities you could possible need (ex tupperwares were really convenient for sandwiches, watermelon, etc for the beach). Refrigerator has an ice-dispenser which was great for keeping our drinks cold for the day.

We felt very secure with location of the villa. It is found in a gated community which is very well maintained with a few dozen villas, where it is very quiet. At any given time, of the 60 villas in the community, there are never more than 5 permanent residents so there is very little activity, which means that if you go to the community hot tub, chances are there will be no one or very few people. There is an access road behind the villa that cars frequently employ during the day to exit Princeville but there is a gate just down the road that closes at 9pm so it gets very quiet at night time. Just across the villa is the shared pool and jacuzzi. We had burgers on the bbq there and ate by the pool on a comfortable patio set. The villa is well equipped with 5 beach chairs, plenty of beach towels, 3 body boards, 1 skim board, and a couple snorkelling sets. The snorkelling gear could use a little upgrade but you can bring your own or buy some there.

I highly recommend staying in Princeville over other spots on the island. The location is ideal. All the best beaches with spectacular views are on the north of the island. We checked out Hanalei bay, Tunnels, Haena, Ke'e in the north - all great beaches. Hanalei bay is great if you want to try surfing or paddle boarding. Tunnels and Ke'e both had beautiful backdrops with great snorkeling. We also did the hike along the Napali coast, Kalalau trail, then up the waterfalls - a MUST do! It's 8 mile round trip - took us 5hr with 1hr stop at Hanakapiai beach; we are quite fit so give yourself an extra hour. Beaches in the south are a little over-hyped imo. We did Poipu which was OK - wouldn't name in the best beach in Hawaii by any stretch. We also went to Polihale on the west side - Gorgeous! But we warned - you need a 4x4 for the last 5 miles; we took a chance anyways and it was fine.

We loved our experience. The house was clean, nicely decorated, spacious, and included everything we needed. Our bed was very comfortable. We enjoyed the pool and bbq nearby.

Recommended for: tourists without a car
