This is a gorgeous 19th Century, classically designed, Italianate Victorian Mansion. The rooms are massive and the ceilings valt to 14 ft.  There are marble mantles throughout and original heart of red pine flooring. Located a short walk from the French Quarter and neighborhood restaurants and coffee houses, come enjoy the quiet neighborhood atmosphere of this historic district.

The house is in a convenient location between the French Quarter and City Park. It has been and continues to be lovingly restored by the owner, Tom, who was happy to tell us about its history and his efforts before and since Katrina. It was very clean and well appointed with many lovely antiques. Architecture amazing - 13 foot ceilings, huge doors, stunning staircase, original wood floors. The upstairs master suite in particular is breathtaking. There is a balcony and a back porch that we enjoyed. Our party of 8 adults occupied three of the suites and had loads of room. It would be great for a longer stay as well because the kitchens are fully equipped. Can't say enough good things about customer service of Tom. We are runners and ran twice in City Park, which is fabulous. Had great food at Acme Oyster House, Remolade, Court of Two Sisters jazz brunch. Drove to all of those. Tour bus picked us up at the house for 3 hour tour that includes Fr quarter, Garden District, cemeteries, and 9th Ward. Overall trip was a great experience and we hope to return to this fabulous house.

Recommended for: adventure seekers, age 55+, girls getaway, sight seeing, romantic getaway
