This beautiful one of a kind house is a destination in itself. The
architect designed, handmade, curvilinear sculpture is exciting to be
in and look at. Its location on the spectacular Ichetucknee makes it
very special. This unusual house is a retreat away from ordinary life,
a getaway into the deciduous forest and crystal clear river that was
the original Florida.

The house is elevated to be a tree house. It has pocket views of the
river and spectacular views of the huge ancient trees around it. The
house is a small retreat, a river camp. The house sleeps two people in
one double bed. It is an artists retreat, a lovers retreat, a special
romantic private place to get away from ordinary life. It is a unusual
sculptural house, for special people, it not a large house for
parties. It is one of the few houses on the Ichetucknee that cannot
see another house or be seen, you are alone in your own private
sensual world.

An entry way with river views leads to the kitchen with a stove and
oven, compact refrigerator, toaster, blender, champion juicer,
and all cooking amenities.

The living room has 12' high windows and skylights. The house is air
conditioned. The house has satellite TV, DVD, DSL, WIFI, and a
stereo. It has views of the forest and pocket secret views of the
river.

The bedroom has a double bed and a large two person Jacuzzi tub and
opens onto a wild floating deck high in the trees. There is one
bathroom, in a curtained area off the bedroom. Because of the house's
architecture and
construction, no pets are allowed.

A short path from the house through the forest leads to private
access to the magnificent Ichetucknee river and a dock for swimming or
a Kayak or canoe launch. The house has 200' of river frontage but
is far enough back to ensure complete privacy on its six river acres
adjoining the Ichetucknee state park. A private park for homeowners,
is down river, it is available with a beach, you can float from the
house in a tube and take out there and walk or drive back to the
house.

A kayakers paradise, you can paddle the Ichetucknee to the
headsprings or down the Sante Fe and even the Suwannee for those who
are adventurous. Canoe the famous Ichetucknee river or just swim or
float. Snorkel this crystal clear river with wet suits or bathing
suits. Canoe and fish the deep holes along the river or watch beaver,
otter, hawk, owl, heron, woodpecker, turtles and raccoons.

Launch your own kayak or canoe or rent our kayak. A kayak is
available , a double wilderness pamlico, that can be paddled as a
single for one person or a double kayak for two.

The house is a short drive to the headsprings and other local springs
for snorkel or cave diving and near Fort White, High Springs and
Branford for restaurants and shopping.

Rates

$400 for 3 days / 2 nights (3 day/2 night minimum stay is required)

$800 for one week / 7 nights

$150 for each additional night

Kayak rental available- $25/weekend for a double Wilderness Pamlico


A $300 security deposit is required. Submit a separate check for the
deposit and it will be returned after your stay.
