Great Escape

Linda (Beaufort, SC/Clymer, NY)
Review submitted: January 16, 2012   Date of arrival: January 7, 2012

Kate's place was a very pleasant getaway. Watching the boats coming and going on the river and experiencing the beautiful sunsets just about every evening was a great experience as well. Kate is very personable and goes out of her way to make her guests feel comfortable. The apartment setting is very comfortable and well-stocked with just about everything you might need. Having a freshly made key-lime pie waiting for us when we arrived was not something I expected -- a special touch. Kate's place is a great location from which to visit The Everglades, Naples Botanical Gardens, Corkscrew Sanctuary, and the beach. We had a great time and would recommend Kate's place to anyone visiting Naples. An extra bonus, we could bring out dog with us.

Recommended for: adventure seekers, age 55+, people with disabilities, pet-friendly, sight seeing, romantic getaway

Great Place, Great Location, Great Owner

Kich (Carmel, Indiana)
Review submitted: January 3, 2012   Date of arrival: November 27, 2011

I almost hesitate to recommend this place because I want to come back next year and I don't want it to be booked!! I stayed here for three weeks in November/December 2011. What a great apartment and I hated to leave. Kate has done such a wonderful job decorating the inside and landscaping the outside that it truly felt like home.

This ground floor apartment has one of the most relaxing settings that I have ever seen. Just steps away from the water where you can sit on one of the many different decks and watch boats go by, watch the many birds or even some dolphins on one day.

The apartment has a fully stocked kitchen (better than mine at home), a great living room with lots of windows overlooking the water on two sides, cable TV, nice bathroom and very quiet bedroom with a large closet and great bed. There is a huge screened porch that goes the length of the house, or sit outside around the fire pit or cook a meal on the gas grill. Be sure to bring your computer because it also has Wifi that is very fast. In addition, you will even have a garage where you can park your car.

The best part of staying here is getting to know the owner, Kate. She goes out of her way to make your stay truly amazing. She will be around if you need her, but goes to great lengths to give you as much privacy as you need. Kate has tremendous knowledge of the Naples area and is ready to provide you with recommendations on restaurants, shopping, beaches, etc.

Stay here and you will not be disappointed!!

Tropical Christmas

Meesha H. (Jersey City, New Jersey)
Review submitted: December 30, 2011   Date of arrival: December 21, 2011

Kate's place is absolutely perfect. My husband and I spent our Christmas holiday there this year, and we can't recommend it enough. The gardens and views from the dock are magical, the apartment is welcoming and nicely decorated (the pictures don't do it justice), and the place is fully equipped with anything you could need. I cooked a number of meals indoors and out without a hitch. My aunt, who lives in Naples, even joked that she would like to rent it as a little vacation hideaway. It really is beautiful spot, and I can't think of a better warm-weather destination for Christmas.
And the key lime pie is delicious.
