Cozy Waterfont Cottage on Weeki Wachee Canal in Weeki Wachee

Swim with the manatees right off your own dock this winter. Water 72 degrees year round, clear and clean. This cozy cottage can sleep six but perfect for two. Fully furnished with linens, towels, all cooking utensils,coffee maker,microwave etc, just bring your toothbrush (and your swimsuit of course)! You can use our kayaks that paddle or pedal, or bring your own boat. A trip up the river to the springs is trip back in time. You'll experience what old Florida must have been like, before all the developement. Shopping and restaurants are nearby in Spring Hill, but you will need a car to get there. The cottage is located about 45 minutes North of Clearwater on the West coast of Florida. If you are looking for a laid back and quiet area, this is the place for you! Hour and a half from Disney and all of Orlando's attractions. No smoking inside the cottage, please.

Swimming ,fishing, boating,and birding. Dive or snorkle at Hospital Hole right on the river. Pine Island Beach and Roger's Park Beach are nearby. The Weeki Wachee Mermaid attraction and Buccaneer Bay Water Park are close by also. A 40 minute drive South will get you to the Tarpon Springs Sponge Docks and touristy shopping, and North is Homosassa wildlife attraction as well as diving in the Crystal River,Disney and Universal are about an hour and half away. Clearwater beaches 45 minutes South. All the franchises you could ask for are located about 5 miles away on Highway 19. For the bargain hunter, a huge Goodwill store just went in next to Lowe's and there is a great Salvation Army store to the South and Howards Flea market on weekends is North toward Homosassa or go South to route 52 to USA Flea market.
